You want to rely on Gionta, Foligno, and Larsson for points. That's why I throw that out. Not to mention we've seen multiple times where a line does well to end the season and then doesn't play the same the next season together.

I kept Kane and ROR together because they played well. I kept Eichel and Reinhart together because they played well. You have Ennis coming back, Moulson still on the team, another top 6 spot taken by Okposo, and a potential one by Vesey.

Foligno and Larsson are best used on the 4th line. If you want to put Gionta down there too then fine, that'll be the 4th line. But I'm not putting them out there with the game on the line because I have better players for that. Otherwise we should get Regier and Ruff back so we can put Gaustad, Hecht, and Greir out with 30 seconds left down a goal.

However you want to phrase it, they were the most consistent line through the last quarter season.

There's no logical reason to do anything other than keep them where they're at to start the season.

Maybe... Rochester is going to be LOADED with kids.

Carrier, Baptiste, Bailey, Fasching, Nylander, Cornel, Dupuy, Estephan, Karabacek, and Olofsson are all there I believe.

Not sure if Olofsson comes over? and I dont think Estephan is eligable but that is a pretty decent squad.

Also just my opinion but I think Karabacek is a bust

The Sabres should get cap recapture in the form of the first year players who are charged the full amount of their possible bonuses against the cap in their first year and whatever amounts they did attain are subtracted from the cap the following year. I would guess with Reinhart and Eichel you get at least four million if not five million plus. At least that is what I recall. I still do not know all the fine points about this last cba.

I wanna know why NYR didn't offer a contract to a guy they got in the 4th round??

All I have found is some Blue Seats Blog that says "he regressed and did not warrant a ELC" which seems ridiculous to me.

You only get 50 slots. 4th round is already kind of iffy - if the kid didn't show anything it shouldn't be that much of a surprise.

I get what you're saying. Reason I put D-lo on that line instead of Gionta is I didn't want Deslauries in the top 6. I'd rather have Gionta there. Honestly, you can switch that and I'd still be okay with it. Main point of that post was I see more value with Ennis on the 3rd line and having 3 scoring lines than on the 2nd with Jack and Sam

estephan is 19... I looked him up.

Olofsson is still in Sweden as well.

Karabacek definitely should be scoring at a better rate in the Q.

Karabacek above Carrier? Nylander goes to Sweden I think you switch them. Then round it out with some career AHL guys. Biggest concern is the center position. Not much talent there since it's all in the NHL.

I have high hopes for Cornel though. Grant is a 26 year old vet. Kea there as well but he is basically a 4th liner.
