Obviously trades will make the difference over the course of the year, but hard to say they can make it all work without the risk of acquiring and exposing something equally valuable to Vegas.
CGY has Gio/Brodie/Wideman/Hamilton all better than Sbisa, plus prospects jokipakka and wotherspoon, if I'm building a team, I would take any over Sbisa either for short term performance or the prospect development
Minnesota is another to watch with Suter, Spurgeon, Brodin, Scandella and Dumba all needing protection. Also Islanders have Boychuk, Leddy, Hamonic, de Hann, and Hickey to protect - WhiteLie
I still do not see 6 D available ahead of Sbisa. |

I found another article that made this as the list, making assumptions on who would be protected on the teams (not including players with NTC's as it hadnt been confirmed then)
Justin Braun ($3,800,000)
Simon Despres ($3,700,000)
Ryan Ellis ($2,500,000)
Nick Holden ($1,650,000)
Thomas Hickey ($2,200,000)
Jack Johnson ($4,357,142)
Kevin Klein ($2,900,000)
Andrew MacDonald ($5,000,000)
Brayden McNabb (RFA 2016-17)
Adam McQuaid ($2,750,000)
John Moore ($1,666,666)
Brooks Orpik ($5,500,000)
Luca Sbisa ($3,600,000)
Marco Scandella ($4,000,000)
Justin Schultz (RFA 2016-17)
Jared Spurgeon ($5,187,500)
Trevor van Riemsdyk ($825,000)

Sbisa is on the list, but I can see 9-10 guys I would pick over Sbisa unless they really needed to hit the cap floor |

Thomas Drance is becoming a dink. He writes today Markstrom proves that he can be a decent mid range goalie but be careful he doesn't have a big body of work to confirm that.
Thanks Captain Obvious. Would you like to tell us also that he sky is blue except when it rains it turns grey?
Maybe you should instead practice in front of a mirror how to talk on tv instead of looking like a deer in headlights. |

I just flagged you....initially I was going to apologize as I erroneously clicked my mouse on the flag button while attempting to do some work and then I realized the old troll and dash you performed this morning. Apology revoked |

rethinking my earlier trade for Barrie prolly needs Tanev in the deal due to cannot protect 4 D as in EG Edler Barrie Tanev
so back to TL saying 1 more F sounds like Landeskog might be the target.
I like that very much so see a Sven/Sbisa+ offer hopefully. |

As per @CometsArmy, Utica has signed Curtis Valk to an AHL contract. He had 6 points (2G, 4A) in 12 AHL games, & 33 points in 30 ECHL games.
Saw him yesterday at camp, looked good with Boeser. Good AHL signing. |

that list contains fodder also some D above will be traded before the draft.
also if not Sbisa then which F or G is LV forced to take considering others unprotected around the league? |

Once again about Barrie is the AVs need a D returned in a deal.
That narrows down options for trading partners IMO |

Then we should probably stop talking about the expansion draft since we know all these guys will be traded? Some of these trades wont materialize because as we saw with Edmonton, the desperation is going to sink it that players might be lost for nothing and prices will rise (and some GM's wont be as desperate as Chiarelli)
As for Van, they hardly have much worth wanting, but Vegas needs to stock some prospects and AHL help. I think Gaunce is the most likely to be chosen depending on how the season plays out. Possibly Etem or Granlund |

Not enough hyperbole.
When will Mattews break Gretzky's single season goal record? December or January? |

ok Sbisa is not worth a pick as D but 4th liners r cuz not a dime a dozen lol
Gaunce maybe but Etem will be unsigned IMO
Granlund makes no sense. |

I honestly don't understand all the print about losing a mid range player. It will happen to every team . No big deal is how I see it |
