Exactly. This is why I feel Evander Kane is the only possible move I could see working because he could probably be had cheaper. That big said, we could probably be outbid rather easily in that case. Reality has kind of set in with me and I'm not disappointed one bit. I just hope we improve and I think with the moves so far, it'll happen. - WhatTheNuck
where did the whole Kane thing come from? Is he rumored to being shopped?
was just reading about Kanes charges. What is confusing here is how its called non criminal charges. You're only charged if there's laws broken, which IS a criminal act. So wtf are non criminal charges? Sounds like someone in the press came up with that one.
Why would you want Kane? Is he going to help get you over the top in the next two years or is he more likely to (frank) the kids up? - Canada Cup
Kane still is a kid himself. Only 24. Obviously he needs to get his poop together but the way I see it is he is a local boy from Vancouver with room to improve. He hits and scores but his ego is a bit of a problem. He's the perfect example of a gritty forward with upside still. I think he could turn it around still and he will need to if he wants to continue making the money he does. He's signed for 2 years still at 5.25 million which gives hI'm until he is 26 to grow the (frank) up. He could still be around for 6 years before he hit 30 and be as old as Hansen. Definitely a risk but a risk worth taking in our current situation if the price is right.
ya Ive not seen a thing about kane being moved except in canuck thread.
How ya been? Havent spoke in a while. Busy at work and love life myself.
Last I recall you going out of town for work
Happy with the draft and moves so far? - SMBDragon
It's all speculation but it's well known that Murray is disappointed in his off-ice antics. He is a problem child for sure but I think our leaders on this team will set a good example. It's a risk for sure but one that could only last 2 years which is when more turn over of the roster will happen anyways.

Mike Ribero got his life together. It is possible.
depending on the process (which I dont recall from last exp draft how it was done) if say they were presented with a team by team basis and they took the BPA they could have say all their D and forwards by the time they reached us. (lets say if it was arranged by standings position or alphabetical)/ We have no quality goalie to expose so they'd perhaps be looked into a lesser player selection that way.
but I take it they submit the lists of all teams days ahead I would think. So they may already know who they want.
thats why I asked what the process was....so if it was like waivers order it could matter - SMBDragon
It's done geographically, from East to West. Of course the West is last.

Its not so much the price than the dressing room. - VanHockeyGuy
Fair enough but at 24 he could still have some good qualities rubbed off on him if surrounded by the right dressing room too. Definitely two sides to the argument.

I am sure plenty of ladies with questionable morales have tried.

As I understand from what I have read about Kane, he's kind of like a Percy Harvin, ex Viking, Seahawk, Jet, Bill (in 3 years). If that's the case, you walk.

I can't remember most of it. I have this feeling of guilt and embarrassment but I am not looking for answers and hoping none show up on social media. - thundachunk
