I'm a bit disappointed in that. Had a few flashes but really could have kept Shink if they wanted that type of player. - manvanfan
I have a feeling Shink bothered everyone on a daily routine asking when is his turn to play in the NHL |

Why is it Leaf fans are the most unreasonable. I get the west coast hate that has gone on for so long. My father in law is a bug Leaf fan but he's no where near the jackass caliber of some of these fools. Just ridiculous. - WhatTheNuck

He didn't really say anything, he just repeated what LH posted. I think he just posted to make an appearance in the Canuck thread. |

Benning wants a forward who has grit and can score, as awesome as Langeskog would be i dont see Colorado trading him before Barrie/Duchene. The targets i could see is Hartnell, Evander kane, and Brayden Schenn. |

The more I thought of grit the more I leaned towards a safer contract like Gazdic. An enforcer or policeman. Then I thought why not sign Pedan and against teams like the Ducks Oilers and Kings just insert him on the fourth line. If a Dman went down he could step in temporary . |

Im really hoping Pedan gets a contract, he did cost a third rounder. Plus id much rather him over Biega (who i would be disappointed to see on the roster this year)
I wonder if the flyers would be happy with Edler+Hansen for BSchenn and Del Zotto (for his offense to play with a defensive tanev) maybe we add a minor prospect or pick |

Not what I was getting at. Instead of taking a chance on a player like Kane or Hartnell for grit and scoring all in one player , seperate the roles.
Put a pure scorer in the second line wing and fill the fourth line with one guy who is strictly a fighter . When needed then insert him in the line up. |

Fighters are becoming useless in hockey. Kopitar takes a cheap shot on Henrik, the fighter goes after McNabb or someone in retaliation. Solves nothing. Someone who can skate and hit. Next time Kopitar gets the puck the guy is out there to separate body from puck. |

The days of deploying a "strictly fighter" are gone, the west especially rolls four lines. I hope they do get a grittier top-6 to help groom JV. Definitely prefer Hartnell to Kane, Kane just seems to be a bad idea in terms of culture whereas Hartnell is productive and a class act. |

WOW if we only separate body from puck in retaliation of something done to the twins we're (frank)ed. |

How can Hartnell or Kane groom JV if bringing them in sends JV to Utica? |
