I suspect you are being sarcastic? Pedan can skate hit and fight, all at a high level. Hockey sense is the question. And yes, he would be claimed on waivers
- CanuckDon

I'm being somewhat sarcastic, but we haven't seen him do anything at a high level, mostly because the little we saw of him he was playing out of position and under ten minutes a game. The fact that he got so little ice time for a coach that loves to roll his lines and was used as a forward despite the back end being banged up worries me, I'm not going to lie.

Where did I say I didn't want players to hit? I said I wanted every player to be separating players from pucks.

So how do we figure out Larsen and Rodin then? If Pedan is up who is waived?
- WhatTheNuck

Sbisa? Biega?

They are likely running 2 xtra defense and 1 extra forward. Pedan makes most sense asthat is essentially 2 def 2 forwards in our 3 spots. Pedan has to clear waivers as well. Do we lose him for nothing? Sbisa will clear, as will Burrows. JV has no waivers.

I see Pedan getting traded if he isn't on the roster. As it stands, there is alot of decisions to make in the fall already. Will be a good year to see who pushes for spots.
- WhatTheNuck

Like we all saw Corrado being traded? If teams know he is going to be waived, they will sometimes take a chance the guy falls to them.

He is a man with years and years of experience at seeing what he wants to see and hearing what he wants to hear. So just throw reading what he wants in there too.

Baertschi, Hansen and a 1st.

Probably not enough still. The problem is cap space for Colorado to some degree. They would have to get rid of a bit. I see them moving Duchene first imo, if they move anyone at all.

Depends alot of Barrie too. What does he get from arbitration? Do they trade someone before knowing? It's a tough call.

Av's need a D in return prolly

They have tunnel vision towards their own team so bad they can't even begin to fathom comprehending any other teams players. They aren't hockey fans, they are Toronto fans...
- WhatTheNuck

Easterners rarely have insight for teams out west.
Lack of watching & poor reporting bias is the reason.

Would he though. He has weaknesses for sure but I'd be surprised if that was the case.

We have 14 forwards right now, we'll have to trade players out to bring in someone or risk losing players to waivers.
- A_SteamingLombardi

Good reason to try for Landeskog IMO

AV's a budget team & need a F still

Agree thats what they would ask.

Who they get from whom is another story prolly.
Jets have the pieces to wheel n deal.

In todays cap world the Av's r hard pressed to make a deal like that.
Rarely r those deals happening.

But like you said the Avs aren't a cap team so they can't take the salary.

Yes but more NHL bodies is my angle to fill roster.

Pick outta Tanev Sbisa Hansen & go from there.

What is the story with the Avs and being a budget team, anyone know? Do they have that bad attendance that they have to be so below the cap limit?
