Per Matthew Coller, He "knows" Murray tried to trade Kane - sbroads24
Oh, well, as long as he "knows" I guess that's all that matters. |

I'm not gonna start a Kane thing, just thought it was interesting

"If you're a youngster and want to make the NHL roster, you show up and crush development camp like Justin Bailey has in this scrimmage"
"@MatthewWGR lookin more and more like Kane can be traded?"

"@Tomlenahan111 I know Murray tried, not sure if it gets done" |

Speaking of Kane, the "official" report is that he put hands on three women and a bouncer, but the charges are non-criminal? Huh? If they have video of him doing these things as they claim then why are the charges non-criminal in nature? Something doesn't add up. |

Never thought of that. Yeah, I'd imagine from a legal standpoint if you have film you either did it or you didn't really. Non criminal would be minor harassment or something, not assault. |

The person who allegedly has the video won't come foward, and Kane won't cooperate. It sounds like he's maybe paying this debt off |

Battery isn't necessarily a criminal offense.
Battery is concerned with the right to have one's body left alone by others.
Battery is both a tort and a crime. Its essential element, harmful or offensive contact, is the same in both areas of the law. The main distinction between the two categories lies in the penalty imposed. A defendant sued for a tort is civilly liable to the plaintiff for damages. The punishment for criminal battery is a fine, imprisonment, or both. Usually battery is prosecuted as a crime only in cases involving serious harm to the victim. - http://legal-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/battery |

Sounds like it. But the cops can hold the person as a material witness. That is if they know who it is in the first place.

I'm confused as well.
I think the writing is on the wall though
George Laraque reporting we are shopping him
My buddy told me they are done with him (He gets reliable info sometimes)
Now Coller.
Plus Bailey is looking like a stud

Is the lack of criminal charges a factor that would make him movable now? |

I'm not the attorney, but found Legal Dictionary site pretty interesting. It seems like the big factor is whether or not there was intent to injure or in fact serious injury. If serious injury is caused it is criminal, but also can cross over into that realm if there is intent to injure. It then may be safe to say that while Kane may or may not have "put his hands" on 3 women and a bouncer, he probably didn't hit them or he would have caused serious damage or at least be attempting to injure them. At the same point, battery can range from flicking the hat off of someone's head to a bullet wound for whatever that is worth. I'm confused too I guess. |

That's my point. The lack of charges doesn't necessarily mean anyone will offer anything decent for him. I'm not in favor of giving him away for peanuts. He's more valuable on the team if you can't get anything for him. |

Yeah.
We should hold on to him.
However, GMTM should have a serious talk with this kid.
One more nonsense, and his is out!!!

Thanks. That's the way I remember from my business law class. And that you don't actually have to touch someone for it to be an assault. Just the threat of bodily harm can constitute assault. (frank)ing law, confusing as poop. It's almost like they make you go to school for a real long time to become a lawyer. There's probably testing involved too. (frank) that noise.
