If he really is innocent and wrongly accused all these times and has nothing to hide just hire a guy to follow you around with a video camera and tape all your public interactions that way you can easily refute any false accusations. Give me $200 a night and I'll be on him like glue.

They can bench a player, but if they have a contract (which they all do)...the GM will be forced to pay them regardless.

This is not in the GMs interest, nor the players, which is usually why you see a trade once the relationship has deteriorated to that level.

EDIT: Although, I think there are clauses (which if triggered due to player negligence) which can void player contracts....see Mike Richards with LA
