An injury could very easily lead to chronic problem though. I believe it happened in the Washington game when he got crunched from behind into the boards by Ovie. The Sabres called it a "lower body" at the time.

Im leaning that way too. took a good 1/2 year for most players to get Bylsmas system. probably at least 50% of the players had never played together before, etc.

I dont want to Homer out here….and I dont remember the exact quote. But something like if we won a game more per month last year, we would have made the playoffs, makes me very hopeful for this year. Especially considering how bad we were in 14-15.
People can come over to our board and crap all over us all they want, but we made a huge improvement from the year GMTM took over to last year and I only think we need to get a little bit better to make the playoffs this year. Okposso alone should help with that. I dont see us as a particularly threatening playoff team. But we could be in another year or two when Jack and Sam get used to the playoffs, as well as a few of our rochester guys maturing in to bottom 6 NHL players.

I reject that idea out of hand. The 04-05 Sabres had only Drury and Numminen with any real playoff experience. We had a rookie goalie in Miller, a rookie in Pominville, Derek Roy was a 2nd year player, well really only one and a half years, Briere had a whopping 6 games of playoff experience coming into that season, Dumont had 13 games of playoff experience from back in 00-01. That team was definitely older than this team(a handful of guys at 22 being the youngest), but the experience level and talent is at least as high if not higher on the talent side. Those 22 year olds were by and large playing their first full seasons in the NHL.

ehhh, my Galaxy S5 cable separated at the end so I couldn't re-splice it. The only downside to Apple is you need a lightning cable. My new S7 just has micro USB. But you can pick up lightning cables for about $10, so it's not terrible.

But your assertion that they're no faster than USB isn't quite right. For certain things.

Lightning can be, but the problem is it uses USB ports for phones anyway, and they operate at 2.0 speeds, so there's the bottleneck. Unless you have a Mac and have a lightning port on said Mac, but only the iPad pro supports USB 3.0 speeds, Firewire was faster before 2.0 came out.

But USB type-C blows them all out of the water with 10 Gbps theoretical speed(same as USB 3.1), doubling 3.0's 5 Gbps. And leaving 2.0 (480 Mbps) in the dust. Thunderbolt can technically hit 20 Gbps. But it won't be as ubiquitous as type-C.

I've had a Mac Book Pro for 10 years and I'm still on my first charger. And only 2nd battery. Cord is just like the day I bought it. No splits, or cracks anywhere. And it still gets daily use as my media computer because I'm too lazy to transfer all that music, and with home sharing there's no reason to.

Edit: I've also dropped the front of my MBP about 2 feet onto the grip of a dumbbell right next to the release button for the display and it dented the fvck out of the case, but it still works great.

WTF did you do to that thing? I'm a pretty unintentionally destructive person. I just accidentally broke my shower head.

Sure, my power brick is pretty scuffed and scratched, but the cable and both ends are maybe a little more brittle now, but they're still like new.
