If he said it was between us and Boston then I absolutely would take it personally, because the only thing Boston can offer is home and being a better city. But this is supposed to be about hockey, and we're in way better shape than they are. They're in the "clutching at straws to keep the window open" portion.

People are acting like he's the 2nd coming and we shouldn't put 100% into this kid until he signs here. If he wanted to be here he would have signed regardless what his camp has been saying, he calls the shot not his agent. Players back track all the time in every sport as to what they will do, Eichel is here and if that connection was that strong he would be here and not wait.

If Vesey signs, Nash is traded for, Kane is gone.

does anyone know definitively what his status will be at the end of his 2 year ECL...RFA OR UFA?
That has a major bearing on his decision going forward. If he becomes a UFA, then he should consider the best opportunity for those 2 years alone to give him the best chance at maximizing his production. So at UFA he has the stats to warrant a long, lucrative deal with any team.
If he becomes an RFA, then he should be considering the long view.
Hopefully it is RFA as then the Sabres become far more attractive to him. A team like Chicago would look great if he then becomes a UFA.

At this point, I hope he signs in Toronto or Boston and is a colossal bust. There's too much drama surrounding a kid who hasn't proved anything. Gerbe won a Hobey Baker too, and while he's an NHL caliber player, he's not a superstar. Vesey is acting like he's already a superstar. (frank) him!

another thing you could do is take a sheet of plywood, cut it into about 20 different small pieces, find about 100 rusty nails, pound said nails into the plywood, flip plywood over and place throughout your yard.
