Landy is 23 I think
I'd go Edler and JV for Landeskog and 2 2nds - The_Kuze

Agreed hut landy is bona-fide top six for the next say 8 years and we aren't winning in the next 2 or 3 so Edler will be on the down slope. I'd take a shot that's just me. - The_Kuze
I'm with the other guy.
Not enough to get landy, (Colorado would want more) and we can't afford it.
Kane is worth discussing as he can be possibly had at a discount (if at all available) and has home town links (not that they ever seem to really matter).

Shane O'brien was the king of the Roxy...kassian liked Parlour and Cactus the best |

I think he actually plays more wing, kinda like Cracknel did I guess. Cracknel made the NHL with us and other teams for being a 4th line crasher that wasn't a liability.
Megna from what I understand is a scorer at the AHL level that wasn't ever able to translate it to the NHL. He is more like the Blair Jones signing last year. - belcherbd
I really don't like Granlund as a fourth line center. I hope they only use him as a 13 th forward |

He will be a starter unless he has a terrible camp. They didn't trade for him to the 13th forward |

Hall just went for larson
Edler and JV for landy you'd think we work. Potential landy replacement size wise and a top 3 d which is what they really need. I donno it would be tempting |

I agree, I thought Gaunce performed very well as a C late last year and think it is his spot to win. Waivers will be against him so I doubt he starts the season there but wouldn't be surprised if he has it by December.

If I was Abols I would bang every player in sight at training camp because there is a big juicy spot sitting there for the taking |

Gaunce scored 1 point in 20 games, you are easily impressed. granlunds resume in the AHL and NHL is far more impressive than Gaunce. It's Grablunds spot to lose not Gaunces |

Chia Pet also gave up Seguin for Eriksson. Most GMs are a tad smarter |

Yes. But Edmonton was desperate and got take to the cleaners on that one.
Not a real representation of the market imo |

I thought he played ok at the end of the season.
Plus he's got the size for the 4th line.
I feel better about Granlund than i did Vey, but that's not saying a whole lot. |

He isnt a typical 4C, but I dont think the Canucks will try to implement a typical 4th line |

Colorado should be desperate who do they have on d especially if they lose barrie. Johnson he's ok |

I remember you went to a game and called him a Chicken . I don't see Gaunce as long term here, but I don't dislike him either. He has been just ok . |

Well, Johnson and Barrie are still head and shoulders better than any D that Edmonton had (?have).
The point is, they're not as lopsided and not in such a desperate position to make silly trades. Barrie could be signed for another year after arbitration and they could move Landy for more than Edler/JV. And i still think that's more than we can afford for what he brings to the table. |
