4th or 5th forward at the cost of 2 or 3 roster players though.

I mean I am all for going to get Nash but not if it means giving up Franson and one of Ennis or Girgensons (or both)

- Stripes77

I can see not wanting to give up Girgs, but I would move Franson and Ennis in a heartbeat, because IMO both are gone next year anyways.

Either way, this is why I have been harping on drafting well and not overpaying with prospects and picks over the past 2 years.

It would be nice to add Nash, and have guys ready to step in if you had to clear a bad contract or 2.

Laugh all you want, but who wouldn't swap Ennis for Armia or Compher if it meant saving 2.5-3 mil and adding a bonafide player like Nash?

Who wouldn't swap McNabb for Gorges and save 2.5 mil?

This isn't the Open...at least it doesn't feel like it.

Almost no wind, players are in short sleeves, and the sun is shinning...

One of the CBS guys tweeted a weather map for tomorrow. That is going to change in a hurry.

I wouldn't swap Ennis for Armia. I don't understand your infatuation with Armia. He is not good.

Maybe Compher but he has yet to play a NHL game.

McNabb plays on a team that hides his weaknesses.

Good, I like watching the pros deal with less than ideal conditions.

But it makes today that much more important.

We really don't know that yet, he played well for them so far.

He's been okay at best, about "dime a dozen" level.

No he hasn't. 4 goals in 43 NHL games. He is supposed to be this goal scoring sniper.

He played fine. He got injured, but still produced at a high level 2nd line rate per 60.

We aren't trading for him to be an All-Star. We are trading for him to be our 4th or 5th best forward in 17-18.

- sbroads24

He played at Ennis's best season rate last year.

Had he played every game and he'd have had 49 points.

That's in the lower tier 2nd line player.

He's also had injuries 2 of the last three years.

7.8 is top line cap hit.

Eh, he actually is 10x better defensively than anyone would fathom giving him credit for.

http://www.behindthenet.c...+49+50+51+52+53+54+55+56#

He averaged the least shots against per 60 of any Jet that played 30+ games.

He also averaged a point per 60, which would be better than Girgensons or Larsson.

I'd have no issue with him on a 3rd line

8 of the top 10 are Americans right now. Kaymer and some Austrian I never heard of are the other two.

if I was moving girgens or ennis and franson for nash

picks and prospects better be coming back as well to us IMO

Rain and wind Saturday and Sunday. They have perfect conditions right now but with the 30mph winds Saturday it will have a completely different feel. Rain and wind for Sunday with 19mph winds. It will get fun.

They drafted him to score goals. If third liner is his ceiling, he's merely a throw in for any trade that's makes an impact.

Armia at 925k > Ennis at 4.6 mil

Ennis had 4 goals in what 20 something games? Since we are just using small sample sizes, I'd say his value is way, way off

Ennis has shown what he can do.

Armia couldn't get out of his own way in the AHL.
