But he's also proven he could have a train wreck year too
It's the same risk as Nash.
You keep saying age.... He isn't dead, he's 32.
You aren't banking on 30 goals, you are banking on 20, with the possibility of 30-35.
It's also possible they retain part of the cap hit. They might absolutely have to - sbroads24
If it comes to that, they keep him.
End of story IMO.
And he's not in the Iginla category where he's going to produce well into his 30's.
He had 15 goals in 60 games last year. That is inexcusable IMO for a player like him. He should've at least hit 20. |

Who said half and take on salary?
Rangers retain 1.5, you move out Gorges in a separate deal for a mid round pick, and bingo, you have 0 issues.
Brendan Guhle is very possibly pushing for a spot - sbroads24
So you want a rookie, a kid with less than 1/4th of a NHL season, and Cody Franson to be your 5th, 6th, and 7th defensemen? |

I really don't want Nash he's way too old I was hoping we would trade for a younger player ..
He's a player you add when your teams about to go on a cup run |

I'm only looking at the leaderboard. I'm at work. I know about the postage stamp, obviously, and Rory's 9 shot excursion a couple of days ago, but that's about it. |

It was their feature hole online, they just wrapped up coverage. I don't remember the player but it took him 4 shots to get out of it. |

He shot a career low 8.2%.
Usually outlier seasons can be explained. |

And the season before when he scored 42 was his highest since 08/09.

Not that I think he's doing anything, but I find it funny that a guy like Phil puts up a round like this just days after McIlroy's criticism about the lax drug testing policy golf has. |

No not at all, but I don't want to turn into Chicago in the playoffs and just run 4 D during the regular season.
It would kill Risto.
Not to mention it would stunt Guhle from being what we all hope he could be... |

He is paid to score goals plain and simple.
That's why he got the contract in the 1st place.
If he isn't scoring goals, there are plenty of guys that are defensively responsible and can pot 10-15 goals that will cost you a hell of a lot less than Nash.
Unfortunately Ennis is one of them and look he's already here and have to give up nada for him.
And I'm one that really would like to move on from Ennis. |

Ok, then add a bottom pairing D at the deadline.
I understand people not wanting Nash.... I do, but it's doable, completely doable |

It's not.
You move 3 guys to make room for him and create 2 holes that you now have no space for.
Nash is and should be a last option based on how other things shake out with the roster.
As of now depending on what the 3 RFA's get (imo it'll be between 11 and 12 mil), that'll leave them zero space. |

If Ennis comes back and rebounds from this injury...which I think he will...he gives us a speedy, talented forward who can put up 30 goals and play left right or center.
How is it not worth atleast giving him until the trade deadline to prove he's OK...especially when his trade value is so low??
God I feel like i'm taking crazy pills when I get on here

Eh I wouldn't say that.
He is a 20 goal scorer though.
He just doesn't turn into a 30 goal scorer. |
