I like Foligno. Career bests in games played, goals and assists last year. |

I know im hockeybuzzing wrong here, but i both like foligno and dont think he's worth the money. He didnt get a raise. I think he's playing for another contract somewhere else. We have kids who will be ready to take his place next year.
I honestly wouldnt be surprised if Girgensons got a one year deal too. |

Foligno isn't worth half of what they are paying him, he should have been gone years ago. - SABRES 89
Foligno is the prototypical Sabre along with another 4-5 players at any given time on the roster that the fans fall in love with .. can't let go of the love and at the same time wonder why the team is never any good. |

Fair point
If Boston was in better shape, like Florida, Pitt, Tampa, etc...
Then it's prob a no brainer
I think he'd be nuts to go there
The hometown thing would matter to me,
But not at the expense of winning
Boston should start breaking down their roster IMO - jdfitz77
Yet you love Foligno ............ look I hate the B's as much as anyone but until the Sabres actually can "overtake" them ......... I wouldn't be too quick to state we are actually better than them.
Like Detroit, most people on this board laugh at these teams but I say until you can actually finish ahead of those two teams .......... it's just talk. |

There was always this hope that he would turn into something and at the time I was one that felt that way. You've gotta give guys (2-3) years to prove their mettle. He's proven he is what he is ...........
It's time to take the next step ............ to do that we need to shed guys like Foligno from the roster. |

If I ever met Darcy, I would thank him. If this team has success in the near future, he was the pioneer and had a hand in everything good on this roster. Positioned us to be horrible at the exact time to have the best chance to get McDavid, drafted our best defenseman and stockpiled draft picks to get us the currency that landed ROR. |

Blind luck.
We got unlucky with Crosby. But we had the best chance. Along with 3 other teams including the Pens, but picked 13th somehow. |

#1
never said I "love" Foligno
Nothing even remotely close
I never even said I thought that he would get to 15-20 goals...
Just that if he (and others like him that have talent but little trade value right now) could have a good first half, they could potentially become decent trade pieces for us
#2
of course it's just "talk"
What do u think we do on here?
It's not like I'm saying something unfathomable. We're on the way up, Boston is struggling to maintain their current status IMO
Of course we have to go out there & actually do it
I get that
Idk why u seem to have something against me thinking they will

IMO the likelyhood of TM making another move before the start of the season is slim. TM has stated he would still like to add another dman, but I cannot see that happening, without creating another need. I feel that they will go to camp and evaluate the play of Guhle, Bailey, Fasching, Nelson and Nylander then assess who can be moved. With the upcoming expansion draft holding unto Foligino, Girgenson, Ennis and Moulson allows them to be exposed to Vegas and at the same time will not impact the core of the franchise. As for Vessey, get ready to boo him when he comes to Buffalo as a Bruin. |
