I don't think that price is realistic and I think buff knows that. I live in buffalo and I can tell you the fans want him gone. - irishmiller33
if its true what he did, i wouldnt want him here either. obviously always two sides to a story. being a drunk, or partying too much, or whatever, thats one thing. youre hurting yourself and if you can have a change of scenary and get off of whatever youre addicted to, and produce for the new team, great.
on the other hand, a guy who is capable of beating and abusing women, holds character traits i want far away from our locker room. if he is in fact guilty for that, he should be thrown out of the league, ala slava voynov. |

Well, as long as Buffalo's GM is listening to the fan base to run his team, then we'll give you a 5th rounder for him, - jmatchett383
Obviously a 5th isn't going to do it. It's not like his stats were anywhere near elite or even top 6 level last season. |

Yeah, but given all of his off-ice (and on-ice) issues, he was a player that TM got a seriously hard on for, and, in my opinion, overpaid to get. I don't think he's willing to chalk it up as a loss after 1 year. Also, for $5.25M for the next 2 years, Buffalo would need to take a bad contract back.
Andrew MacDonald + 3rd for Kane? |

I think Read + 3rd + hagg or Martel type prospect.

Martel maybe, but not Hagg. He showed signs of finally coming around last year and, from the little I saw at prospect camp, looks greatly improved from last year. |

martel is an interesting prospect as well tho. no doubt kane has talent, but it could be adding a cancer into a locker room that would outweigh the positives he'd bring |

I know I'm going to get hell for this, but I don't Buffalo has a locker room that can curtail him. Granted, the Flyers don't have a Pronger type who can simply look at you and let you know what's what, but I do think they have a pretty good group, at least a lot more than Buffalo and Winnipeg, where his poop wouldn't fly. |

i agree absolutely. i mentioned it before, but i think if he is found out to be guilty of abusing women, that type of personality i think would do more harm than good, even with what he brings on the ice. |

I think we have to add that "interesting" type of prospect to get a deal done. I like hagg but he is still a ? in alot of ways. He has all the potential to be a 3/4 imo but has yet to put it all together consistently. Granted he is still a relatively young prospect. |

but why would u want to sell low on a prospect who finally turned it on towards the end of last year. having patience in todays NHL is an integral part of building a winner. look no further to most futile franchise in the east, the caps. u dont think mcphee wouldve wanted to wait a couple more months to see what they had with Filip Forsberg? obviously you can argue both ways, but i still think its better to hold on to a prospect and miss, than to give up on a prospect and have to see them win with another franchise. |

Would any of you guys be interested in taking a chance on Evander Kane? I know all of his off ice issues are a problem and he seems very immature and more worried about his money stacks than anything else, but he is a top 6 LW who can score amd is young enough to grow with the team. I think simmonds and Giroux could really help him break out of that immaturity. Now I wouldn't give up a whole lot to get him but I think he is worth a shot and I think buffalo doesn't want him around their young core. - irishmiller33
For AMac, Read and a 3rd? Sure, why not? |

I agree. Here's something funny, I was at the GnR concert in Philly last nite and after the 2nd opening act, just before GnR took the stage, they played Prince non-stop til the show started |

I think he himself had a pretty clear sound but he has written others that don't sound like prince songs for reasons less obvious than "someone else sung them" |

I don't think we would be selling low. Kane, off ice issues aside, is a young top 6 LW who can score 25/30 goals a year. Something the flyers desperately need. Hagg may or may not become an nhl regular. I think we have the leadership in the room and strong locker room where kane may fall in line and start to lose the immaturity. |

Evander Kane has only had one 30 goal season. including the lockout shortened season , he has averaged 18 goals a year. he has talent, thats for sure, but he really hasnt broken through yet, unless u consider one 30 goal season breaking through.
it really isnt all about the locker room being strong or not strong. this guy beat the poop out of a woman, and apparently is not the first time. its not just "off-ice issues", theres something wrong with someone like that, and introducing him to a locker room of new faces and youngsters is detrimental to the growth and development of the roster.
of course, it could come out he didnt do anything, always two sides of the story, and he is proven innocent then i would get on board with thinking a change of scenery would work. but if this guy is a psycho path i want him no where near our locker room. |

to where? phantoms? cant see a trade market for them - rinaldo
Phantoms or maybe give them away for late rounders. They're cheap depth or contracts that can be buried |

plenty of free agents who do the job they do without giving up a draft pick, despite it being a 7th rounder.
maybe cond pick...if VV scores 30 goals we will give you a 7th |
