so are we really just waiting for Money, JG and wotherspoon to sign? and then roster is basically set for core people?
I assume F.Hamilton will just sign and be a good AHL piece this year. Chiasson bumped him and hathaway down - numbear
If we could trade Wideman and aquire Hayes or Kreider that would be neat. |

Maybe this'll be the trade that rocks New York. Somehow I doubt it. |

would lose picks doing that
I think we need wideman this year to start. trade at deadline if needed. Or if the refs just hate him sooner
ease spoon and joki in taking on more minutes.
england and bolig I think will split sit in the bleachers this year |

I don't frequent this blog, but wanted some perspective on Jooris. So, while I'm here, allow me to say....I don't think so.
We have 3 good young D that should get a chance to crack the line up ahead of thinking there is a need for Wideman. Fully hoping and expecting Girardi and Staal to rebound at least somewhat after their longest offseason in 4 years.
And finally, while Hayes and Kreider still have yet to live up to their potential I would lose my sh!t if one of them went for Wideman. |

Try not to let people affect your perspective so much. Some people on here have no concept for player development.
Technically Byron and Jooris were the heart player we loved seeing play in the same year. Then they both went to Therrien's and Hartley's doghouses the next year. Lol
I liked Hathaway in that role last year, but then Keith broke his wrist on an uncalled slash.

Gotta disagree with you on the high ceiling you had for Jooris. I watched him at games at the Dome & he didn't play with the same urgency that he did the year before. He was definitely getting leap frogged by at least 5 players this year. |

More worried about this than any regression he's experienced.. |

Yeah he really didn't have that jump last year. I'm sure we all saw him play at the Dome lol. I have season tickets myself. Seems like we agree on everything except his ceiling. |

Hah yeah would have to be different trades. No way you guys can fit Wideman under the cap. |

How much does he make? Kreider will be signing anyday now for around $4M per year. |

gio 25min
brodie 25min
DH 22min
Wides 12min

You have seasons tickets and still know sweet (frank) all about hockey? Slow down on the booze, and pay more attention to the game and not whether or not the hot dog vendor is in your section. |

Honestly, what makes you think that he is top 6 capable? Because he spent time there in his 1st year when we were suffering through injuries and no other choice? I like Jooris but for what he is and not what he isn't. Hartley didn't play him enough last year, this I will agree with. But it would have been in a 4th line, PK role or a 3rd line poop down role at best.
If he couldn't find a spot in the top 6 when we were looking very weak on the wings, what makes you think, at age 26, he will ever reach that level? |

He should never be in the top 6. If he is you're in trouble. |

We're jammed on the back end. (Can't believe I just typed that). And need help in our top 6 forwards. I don't see how trading Kreider for a defensemen will help that. Cap help or no. Our cap should be manageable. Just not picking up any big names this year. Hopefully Nash has a decent year and can be moved for more help at the deadline. - Tonybere
Sounds like you have similar issues and needs to what we have. |
