(frank) em both! Two worst candidates of any presidential election in my lifetime. Gary Johnson should be the candidate. But the media is corrupted by the government and neither the hardcore republican donors or democratic ones want a serious change in the country so they won't allow the news stations the opportunity to promote a solid 3rd party candidate. If this were ever an election to have a 3rd party guy win it would be this one but yet we don't hear anything about Johnson. Why? Because the government and media are scared of him. I bet he won't even have a spot on the debate floors. - bluengold12

Clinton and the first Bush both lived off of the economical success of Reganonmics...
Also just because one Clinton had a "successful" presidency doesn't mean the one married to him would make one especially since her track record isn't very good since she graduated college.
Neither are ideal candidates but it will be a cold day in hell when I vote for Hilary. I live in a swing state since moving from New York it's the first time in my life my vote will actually matter. - Stripes77
Really? Never mind the spending that Reagan did to get the economy rolling...GHWB got smoked and was a one-term Prez because of "the economy, stupid".
I joined the military when Reagan was in office, mainly cuz there were opportunities galore, but those were artificially created and represented BIG GOvernment...the exact same thing that conservatives have been claiming to be against for decades.

Your point about self-identified Conservatives favoring big government solutions on pet issues is correct. Your example of the military as an example is wrong. Unless I'm misreading your point?

Those who claim to be against Big Government seem to be rabidly Pro-military no matter what the cost, even if it means creating huge deficits, which is the same as Big Government, lying to the world about wmd and leading us into invading and occupying a country that did not attack us, had NOTHING to do with 9/11 (19 of 21 hijackers were Saudis, and the Saudis were big business partners of the Bush family), and which had a secular leader (even though Saddam was a d!ck) that kept terrorists OUT of Iraq...mainly because the guy tried to kill our inept Prez's Daddy back in the first Gulf War, the one I served during. Over 4k US servie folks dead, thousands more maimed, and tens of thousands of dead Iraqi civilians over a big lie about bogus wmds.
After 9/11 I was glad for a while we had a Texan in the White House, but as soon as he went into Iraq I lost all faith in so-called conservative values.

Hilary voted to go to war in Iraq - Stripes77
A first-term Senator from NY, the location of our worst attack ever, is going to vote "no" to use force? Please.
Joe wilson was sent to Africa to investigate Saddam trying to acquire weapons-grade uranium. After months of investigating it was found to be false, but GWB still trots out that lie, with Colin Powell holding a vial of coagulated glue at the UN that scared everyone poopless.
