First two seasons of Bosch are awesome. From Amazon's streaming service but are available to dl from tpb too. 10 episode seasons and based on the best selling detective novels by Michael Connelly. really well done.

Supposedly they're not very faithful to the books. I've neither seen the show, nor read the books, just what I've heard.

I'm glad I saw Jack Reacher before I read any of the books. I enjoyed the movie. Jack Reacher on screen is Tom Cruise, about 5'5" and I don't know 165? Jack Reacher in the books is 6'5" and 250+. Just a tiny difference. But as a stand alone movie Tom Cruise did a good job. I'll see the next Reacher movie Never Go Back when it comes out in the fall I believe, but they really could've casted it better. The Rock would've been a better choice stature-wise.

Then everyone would want to play for the Leafs. And we don't see that happen do we? I think playing for your home team is overrated, especially if you're a star. Stamkos had the chance, but he'd rather stay with a great team in relative anonymity than go and play for the home team.

Ya, or someone like Mickey rourke. I have read all the novels and refused to watch the movie as I can't get over the stature difference- jack reacher is supposed to be a juggernaut.

The Bosch series is pretty close to the novels, maybe a little modernized and some of the threads from different novels have been mixed together. It allowed me to keep guessing.

The Irish guy from sons of anarchy is the lead and there is a terrific cast to boot.

The Shield would also gets strong recommendation from me. Great acting from Michael chilkis and Walton goggins and usually tight plots.

I'm on Make Me now. I read them really out of order, but I've read them all except Make Me which I'm about halfway through, and it's nice that you can do that and not really miss anything. My one big complaint, and especially some of the earlier books is that Reacher makes rookie mistakes, even though he's supposed to be this seasoned investigator, just so Child can advance the plot. Not a fan of that, it's lazy writing. But he has gotten a lot better with that. They're pretty easy to figure out, not much mystery, but overall one of my favorite book series. I think my favorite one is Echo Burning, and A Wanted Man was really good too.

You really should give the movie a watch, other than the city it takes place in it's relatively faithful to the book. And it's solid. When you watch movies you have to have a suspension of disbelief, just treat Jack Reacher like a normal movie. And your suspension of disbelief is that he's a foot shorter than he should be. They did a good job with it.

If you like Reacher, read the mitxh rapp books. I read both, Reacher is very good, rapp is awesome
