ill be happy with anything under 5.5
Though if Schenn wins his 5.5, its not the end of the world. - MBFlyerfan
Well, it's going to be $5.5mm or lower anyhow. Very likely if they get to the hearing the arbiter will decide somewhere in between. The Flyers already filed for two years, so, it'll be a 2 year deal |

Nonsense.
Schenn sucks, he's easily replaceable, he would be lucky to get 1 year at $4M, he's streaky, he will never help us win, etc.
Bottom line: Trade him for a 5th while he has any value. |

It is what it is. I wouldn't be happy with $5.5mm, but at least it would be a fairly short term. |

The only issue with that is it could leave the Flyers very tight to the cap, once Schenn is signed, and Manning also. They could be left with well under 1M of available cap space.
Edit: Brennan would be removed, so they'll be okay. They'll have more than above. |

In that regard, he is exactly like Mike Richards. Willing to fight, but not very good at it. I was amazed that he took it to Oshie as well as he did. |

Maybe they can add a 9th defenseman to the roster with that space. |

Has an NHL arbitrator ever given one party exactly what they asked for?
Usually the awards tend to be in the middle of what the club offers and what the player asks for. |

Don't know. Let's keep in mind that they can still come to an agreement on a contract during the 48 hours the arbitrator has to decide.

So the arbitrator will do what the club and the player should've been able to do on their own. |
