A little surprised he was signed for so little. Equally surprised that he accepted that 2nd year. With more responsibilities in Phoenix, his value would have gone up. - Bruiniak

ok james. i'll bite ..... jim benning, bob murray, and any other of the "worst" GM's in the league make this move, do you have the same reaction? doubt we see this much positivity .... - the end
To be fair, Jim Benning really is the worst. |

If Bob Murray made it, that would be surprising because Anaheim already have a well set D; if anything, they could perhaps even move somebody to help balance out their roster.
As for Vancouver, they are a little weak on RD, so this would make sense for a move given the cost. |

Actually, when I clicked on the video there, I thought the exact same thing.
Trust me...'RocKihnRoll' has far better production when you listen to the actual LP. Oh sorry...that's a 'Long Player' for you. |

This is a fair question, but why would you put "worst" in quotation marks? I don't think there's much doubt that Murray and Benning are two of the worst GMs.
Saying that, I like to think that I would not be biased. If the Coyotes make a move I don't like - such as re-signing Dahlbeck - then I say so. I have ripped them on many, many occasions.
If anything, maybe I'm an unreasonably huge Luke Schenn fan. |

Tanner this is a guy being paid a salary that says "you really are a lousy player by NHL standards". You're putting too much thought into this. |

I prefer it to 99% of today's production where it's all equaled out to minimize sound loss when it's inevitably compressed and sold as an MP3.
However, its also likely that if you actually bought and played the physical copy it would sound way better. Stuff from the 80s doesn't exactly lend it self to the youtube. |

It's replacement level salary for a replacement level player. Perhaps you're right though. |

PLUS, the songwriting is FAR SUPERIOR to most newer stuff.
It's (frank)ing true... "they don't write 'em like that anymore"!! |

That's ridiculous. I will never understand why people say more stupid and insulting things to me in one given day online than cumulatively in my entire real life. - James_Tanner
I think you know the answer to this: accountability. Same reason why people flip off someone when they're in a car. They know they can drive away and never face the person that they gave the bird to.
These comments have to wear on you, though. I'm surprised you're still here. |

Doubt he would have written an article on it if the Ducks or Canucks signed Schenn. It was a low risk move for little money and little term. Plus, it was positive in the sense that he undoubtedly provides depth and the Coyotes have a ton of cap room. The Ducks and Canucks, while having less cap room, don't have such a wide margin for error as the Coyotes. |

To be fair, most of your teeny-pop stars have always been pure garbage. Just catchy.
I don't believe that there is better music in the past than there is today. I believe that because access to free music has changed the music industry that today's pop stars are safer and more pandering. Prince would be too weird to be a huge star today.
However, there is good music, you just have to work harder to find it.
Anyone wanting some heart-rending lyrical-poetry could do worse than to check out Sufjan Stevens, Bon Iver or Iron and Wine. |

They might wear on another person, but I have a superiority complex. I'm not saying I don't occasionally feel insulted or hurt by what someone might say, but generally speaking, if I have to take some crap on the internet, no big deal, I'm a big boy.
Also, half the population supports Donald Trump, so I don't really have to take the insults of most people very seriously. |

Good point. I wouldn't have even commented on it if another team signed him, probably. |

I just hope that Schenn isn't a healthy scratch very often. Let's lower our expectations. |

I agree on Schenn. Very low risk. Now I really think they need a center. They can't put together a roster, Then five games in have Hanzal get injured for 45 games. They can trade Stone, hanzal plus a prospect might get someone good. I just don't know who. |
