He's better than that, he has an amazing last name, and Risto hasn't proven himself to be anything more so far. If he wants a long term deal its based on performance not potential.

i felt it was an overpayment.. i think it is a little better than average 2nd pairing guy.. but i don't think he has the potential that risto shows

He really isnt, its very vanilla, not overally offensive and not very good in his own end. In fancy stats talk he doesnt drive offense or the play, scores like a 2nd pairing guy, and is very underwhelming in terms of shot suppression ability.

not really, Risto is 21 vs Dekyser who is 27. They paid full UFA value in that contract to him, Risto you are still buying up most of his RFA years, and depenidng on how many UFA years you buy up will really determine his value.
