Probably as much as Risto wants out. I'd assume the guy just wants his money.

He doesn't deserve it, but if it means locking him up an extra 2 or 3 years by giving him 500k-1m more I'd do it.

That deal is very fair for him in my opinion. He's a quality young power forward who can play in all situations and bank up to 60 points.

Even if we don't sign VZ we could still see a Kane trade before camp. Signing VZ will make it a bit easier to trade Vancouver for a few pieces. Vancouver seems to be the most interested. I think the writer works in Vancouver.
