So basically when Sbisa's contract is over, they have to take him? Please learn a bit about hockey/players/etc before posting. - Retinalz
HOW on earth did you not understand that his post was sarcastic??

Did you even read my comment. they take sbisa's contract if kane messes up in the next two seasons, during which sbisa is in fact under contract. NOT when its over... - kaptaan
I bolded the pasrt where you said "He fails to score 20 goals in either of the next 2 seasons". That was the part that made no sense. |

Because every post he makes is about trading Edler or Tanev for a bag of hockey pucks. So i assume every post where he comes across as an idiot is serious. |

I wouldn't say his value has bottomed out but I understand and agree with you that maybe they just end up keeping him for the time being, at least till the TDL. - mhp
Since its tuesday, how about Edler and Gaunce for Kane and Guhle? |

How about the fact that Buffalo don't actually need ANY Defensemen, let alone a mediocre one like Sbiza - and pull our collective heads out of our a$$es if we truly think it'll land Kane - so can we all just drop this stupid faking scenario???? |

Cant blame you, solid prospect |

Kane for Sven + could work cap wise ...the + doesn't need to be a cap dump it can be a pick or prospect |

I'd be willing to do that. It's a 2 year mistake fornus if kane screws up again. Baertschi will be similar to Hansen type production in his career I believe a very serviceable player. I don't know seems relatively fair to me |

Where did i say Sbisa? - phyllee
haha sorry man that wasn't directed at you - it was the culmination of endless posters suggesting Sbiza could fetch Kane - yet no one actually realizing that Buffalo's defence is young, its solid and set up for years. Suggesting the Sabres need Sbiza is like Columbus suggesting that we need Bobrovsky.
I think the dog days/summer heat are making people delusional around here. |

Tobias Reider to the KHL
Apparently he wanted to be paid like Kadri with one good season.

How long has Edmonton promised not sucking, let alone making the playoffs. They built their entire team last year on a rookie, a rookie. If McDavid goes down this year, they will be picking in the top 3 again. They won't have Hall to bail them out, and their defence is still terrible. If Larsson was so good, he would have made the Sweden World Cup team. - Rocket_Launcher
Fair points for sure but for me the difference McDavid is a generational talent where Hall is not. Chiapet can build around him. A few more additions around McDavid on D and maybe a change to the top 6 and they will have something going there. A full season of Lucic Kassian Maroon and Hendricks and Nurse is one tough bastard with a year under his belt…that new building is going to be a scary place to play in for the majority of teams. I realize they have sucked since 2004 but really they are close. Plus the Mcdavid injury was a total fluke. I'm not even an Oiler fan but I am looking forward to seeing what that kid can do with a healthy year. |

Wow, he did have a good season but not in the 4 mill area I wouldnt of minded him for around 1.5- 2.5 - phyllee
His agent sounds like an idiot.
He was literally the oilers only late round draft pick that made the NHL and they traded him.

I know right, it amazes me he went to the KHL instead of a bridge deal, or even a show me contract |

I wonder if Bo will get a bridge deal?
The current trend with GM's is skipping bridge deals straight to long term in hopes of getting the player at their peak with decent cap hit.
Like Klefbom, Gallagher etc |

Id imagine, IF Bo maintains his 40 point season hes looking at Sean Couturier type contract, 6 years 4,333 salary. If that was the case it would be a solid contract for Bo |

I'm sure Kane would straighten right out, especially being in his home town with his homeboys and clubs around here.
I'm going to Vancouver to get my sh!t together..... Said no one ever! |

the anonymity and support of his hometown, his every move supported and yet left unreported...
to be honest, when he went to Buffalo, I wished we had traded for him. I'm not against him coming here at a discount, but we won't see a Kassian type deal with a top6 forward and I don't want to invest in him too much with the drama that seems to follow him around. |

That's going to be a really interesting contract. If Bo pots 20-5 goals this year, I think he will look at whatever Monaghan gets from the Flamers. The analytics and eye-test are all out of whack as he's actually more of an offensive asset than a defensive one. But he's not as defensively proficient as Coutourier, or offensive as Monaghan. |
