I'm gonna let this die but I gotta tell you, I hate talking to you. What if I admit to being sensitive? I'm still talking hockey. It seems to me, you take pleasure in looking for friction and once you've created it, blame the other guy. - roenick97
If you hate talking to me, I'd be more than happy if you refrain from it in the future. |

Yup, it's abuse of power IMO
He just banned another of our regular posters for the weakest of reasons. I really think this needs to be brought to Bill and Ob's attention. It's getting out of hand.
Perhaps they should require at least 2 refs to concur before someone is banned.

You're welcome.
And of all the individual awards, the subjective ones are the ones I couldn't care less about the most. |

I messaged him about it and he told me to call or EMail Eklund. Once he puts his phone number out there, I'll be sure to do so.
But I really don't think anything will change. He's been with Eklund since the beginning, and when people complained about him, all he did was become a "featured" blogger. He's got Ek in his pocket, so I don't think anything would come of it. |

The only individual award I would be joyed to see a Flyer win is the Conn Smythe because it means they either won the Cup or played a super-competitive Finals. It would be cool to see a guy win the Hart/Calder/Norris/etc. but I don't go into the season with that as my primary goal for the team. |

That's just sad. Loyalty is a fine thing, but if your employee is abusing his power, it needs to be addressed.

it shouldnt be what ur hoping for each year at the same level as a cup. while we were in the hunt for that playoff spot it was awesome to ALSO see ghost put up great numbers and root for a calder for him, but it was just a wrinkle. the most important thing is winning and winning the cup, if we get awards thrown in its a bonus.
im definitely not sitting here, counting every second until october until i can see our hockey team play again, with the thoughts of winning a calder or hart trophy tho. to me, its ludicrous. - sjk540
Everyone is entitled to an opinion, and you're certainly entitled to agree or disagree with an opinion. Nobody should get crap for offering an opinion, other than agreeing or disagreeing. |

1. It's a private forum so they can do whatever they want. Crying about it only gets your cheeks wet.
2. Based on what the poster said he posted, I'd ban the mofo, too. Seems he makes a habit of non-constructive criticisms. |

If they win the Cup I don't care one iota about the CS.
If they lose in the finals, I don't care one iota about the CS. There are no consolation prizes. |

Anybody recall Steve Eminger? He never really seemed to reach that top pairing potential that some thought he had. Puzzling. - MJL
If you're implying I was among those who pegged him as having "top pairing" potential, you're off base. From the time of the trade onward, I saw him as:
Floor: 3rd pair D man who could spot into a second pairing role in a pinch.
Ceiling: 2nd pairing D man/can anchor a 2nd pair
Ironically, Eminger actually attained "top pairing" status when he (and Downie) went to Tampa in the early season trade for Carle (and a 3rd -- Desseres) after his short stint in Philly. Eminger played in all situations and led all Bolts D men in Avg TimeOnIce that season (he also managed to put up 23 pts in 50 gp, surpassing Carle's output with the Flyers that season).

I'm not implying it, I'm saying it outright. You stated multiple times, through all of our numerous discussions that Eminger was a top 4 defenseman, with top pairing potential. That's okay, nobody gets everything right. GM's and Pro hockey people get it wrong, so can we.
Not to mention it, because it really doesn't matter, but you're wrong about Eminger leading all Bolts D men in avg time on ice.
