What did Crosby do when he deserved it? If I recall he was the youngest captain in history. If the players on his team look at him as a leader then why not give it to him. They generally give it to the best player anyways and I felt like he was going to get it sooner or later so if he gets it or got it now it's just speeding up the process.

You're better off just going to a few places for wings when u get in town
They can't cook on site at WingFest,
So everyone has to cook at their restaurants & transport them.
Most end up rubbery or dried out.

McDavid will be the best playing in the NHL within 5 years. He's going to get the captaincy eventually, I see no reason to not give it to him now.

We're in a position where we have a guy like Eichel but we also have ROR who I'd rather give the C to. Jack can have the A. But Edmonton doesn't have a ROR.

I've been an avid fan since right after the lockout so it's been a lot more dark times than good. Same with the Bills since I didn't get into football at all until the 2000s. I know nothing but shame and disappointment.

It's not, lol. He's going to have the pressure either way, I don't think the C is adding too much more. It's not as though without that C people are going to say "Well he isn't scoring but it's okay, he's only an alternate captain so I don't expect it from him".

All that said, I don't personally know the kid. If his coaches and management think that he can handle or even thrive under that pressure then give it to him. Maybe you're right and they need to wait a year. Depends on who he is.
