Fishing is a full time job, it doesn't end when you're off the water. My wife and I placed 18th in the Sooke Salmon Enhancement Society fishing derby this weekend. It was awesome, but it's also a lot of work, which starts with a 4am getup.

On the topic of Sam Gagner, selecting him, in hindsight, was the start of the downfall of the Edmonton Oilers.

When the Oilers should've been focusing on building from the net out they took a small 5'10" 170 lb forward when defencemen like Ryan McDonagh, Kevin Shattenkirk & PK Subban were available and highly ranked.

They had three first round picks that year and completely missed on McDonagh, Subban, Pacioretty, Shattenkirk, Couture and Wayne Simmonds.
