I watched Juolevi closely here in Red Deer during Mem.Cup. and he is going to be a stud for us…gonna take 2-3 seasons more though. kid has to seriously beef up to play D in the NHL.

Gagner is a solid 40 pt guy when he is healthy the problem is that he has only ever played one full season…ever. Even at a bargain Gagner would probably only play 40-50 games if that…can't risk it.

If you were forced to trade ONE of JV or 1st round pick in a Kane deal. Which would be easier to swallow? Forget the other pieces.

It's a ballsy move, it will look like a great trade if you move the pick and make the playoffs.

If you miss the playoffs and Kane has more incidents, then the fans will want JB's head on a platter.

If we make the playoffs and Kane, fits in, and is extended in a reasonable contract, JB will have a charity golf tourney named after him.

I don't really want to see JV moved yet. but if JB thinks he is a bust, I hope he does. Hoping JV gets his offense going.

I don't think we would finish as low as 6 with the goals Eriksson and Kane would bring to the top 6.

Plus, you didn't call JV a bust. You said IF Benning thought of him as a bust which I doubt he does. He needs 2 more seasons before you even decide what he is. I've been saying all along he would be better in Utica myself. I'd love him on the Canucks roster too but in a scoring role or its not proper development.
