Honestly tho good for the Avs....I didnt think they would resign both guys because I thought they didnt want to spend money - RatedR80
thats just media guys chiming off on the Avs saying they don't spend money even though they havent even looked at what they have spent over the past few years. Lazy narrative by writers who don't want to do the research |

nope Trouba is still out there, but should see more D contracts being signed now that Barrie deal is done and no Arbitration cases are out there anymore |

Like martox' saying...
Even if it's the naked truth, I doubt Klef is the natural leader after this... - 21peter
I mean, he also calls Hall their best player so I feel the quotes are getting taken a little out of context. Seems like more of an indictment of the team than anything. It doesn't help that most sites are using a bastardized Google translated transcript as their basis. |

This is not a Google bs... Could be some journalist bs, but both Martox and myself can read Swedish. If and that's an IF; Klefbom said this, he's a f'n loser. (like most Swedes are anyway ) |

I can too, but that wasn't my point. What I mean is that the articles on the topic are mostly using Google translate and thus not using an accurate representation. |

He was on the bubble. Not a horrible contract. Basically the min unless he does something. Can't see him being scooped of waivers if he goes to the AHL.
I do think we should expect an improvement from all the young guys. Many played this spring at the worlds and others are training for this joke tournament in September that will never replace the Olymipics (although I do see why the Olympics is a no go). Talbot should be coming into the season feeling great backstopping Canada to gold. With goalies size and pad size, it a lot of their success comes down to a mental game. Confidence to challenge, play the puck and just being set on winning. Talbot has the ability to back stop with success with the D core as is.
I don't think our offense is better. A healthy McDavid and RNH will make a huge difference. Both are key to the Oilers more than any other forward at the moment. If Pulj is ready (which lets face it, he has an easier move from the elite league to the NHL). I think he showed he is at the World Jrs and Worlds. He is going to be good. Going in I can see why the extra money over Draisaitl. I don't know if he is better. Leon went on a tear for a while there. If THAT Leon comes back with some consistencing the Oil are set. Two great role playing centres. |
