I can see the potential the Canada split has but I like the Team of young players. It give hockey fans some reassurance that the future of hockey is still bright. I also think Team North America has a chance to win this. |

This is almost as stupid as the 23 and under team. The World Cup, like the Olympics, should be nation vs nation, period, end of story.
Personally, I'd rather the NHL didn't play in any of these type of tournaments. The players are extremely well compensated to play for their respective teams and, as fans, we shouldn't have to be penalized by watching our best players risk injury in a meaningless tournament.
Going to the Olympics every 4 years is bad enough, there was no need to bring back the Canada Cup. None. It's an NHL money grab and nothing more. |

Yeah, I'd rather have neither, but you're right. Better they should risk injury prior to the start of the season, than only 2 months before the playoffs begin. |

No, I'd rather Olympics. Rather country vs country. Not country vs kids who were left of country vs 14 countries combined. |

For real hockey fans it's so much more than that. It's the first time ever that there will be a tournament that includes nearly all of the best players in the game(Canada still has to leave out some elite players). Not only that there won't be any garbage games that aren't worth watching.
I'd much rather watch Canada beat Team Europe in a one goal game than I would watch Canada plaster Belarus 10-0. |

It's going to suck for Team North America when they are playing Canada or the US, and no one is cheering for them because Canadians and Americans are cheering for their actual national teams. This tournament is the dumbest idea in the history of organized sport. |

We need China and Syria to develop hockey programs, so we can once again have geo-political hatred enhance our sports rivalries.

1. I don't like the attitude.
2. SHut your face.
3. Seriously need to lose the combined teams in the tournament.
