No there isn't, there's over 3 million people in Seattle alone, the Pacific Northwest contains Seattle. Unless you mean the "lower mainland"? Which is a Canadian term, Pacific Northwest is not.
- LeftCoaster

I was referring to the Pacific Northwest...I know the difference. Although, I was being somewhat sarcastic but not really. Have you seen the Jays play the Mariners? I have been to every game for the last 6 years and the stadium is at least 75% Jays fans. this year I am adding a stop to watch the Jays in LA and I suspect there will be a very large contingent of Jays fans like there are in every stadium. The Mariners aren't popular in Van anymore.

Sure, some fans are bandwagon fans....myself, I have been a huge Jays fan since 92.

They also have the team that finished dead last that has been the worst franchise in hockey for the last 25 years at number 11. So who are the real idiots?
- VANTEL

I don't think you can blame Lou for the Leafs being the worst franchise in hockey for the last 25 years. I think he was in New Jersey

I don't think I've ever seen a Jay's game that started at 4 replayed at 7 ...maybe after the jays game and hour of sportsnet central then Jay's in 30 ...only time I can recall seeing games replayed are Canucks east coast games which makes sense
- Redmile247

Yeah usually its Blue Jays in 30 though I have seen the occasional full game (particularly if it starts at 1 or earlier). They dont hesitate to show the same 30 minute version multiple times a day, Sportsnet 1 has it running 4 times in a row starting at 10 tonight

That's the same with the Leafs. That's why they're always on the telly box. Until we make a stand, it won't change.

That's how all baseball should be. Don't show the live game. Just (insert team here) in 30

Hi,

The new blog is up, with the Score's GM rankings, Jason King's hire as the new assistant coach in Utica and a quick look at today's Summer Showcase games - Canada's playing now.

because you attend a three or four game stop and the Canadians flock down there doesn't mean there's more Jays fans in the PNW. The Seattle fans get to go to 81 games a year, Blue Jays fans in Vancouver go to three to six…I'm sure you can see the difference there?

I think the Jays in Seattle is an anomaly for attendance as the team only makes one trip here each year, so the fans will ensure when the schedule is released to get those ones first - not really the best way to gage who has the most fans, just who is most enthusiastic about 3-4 games out of 162

I think there are a lot of diehard Jays fans in Van, a few casual, and a lot of bandwagon ones (I would say a few diehard Mariner fans, a lot of casual, and no bandwagon ones.. yet). If support for baseball was that strong, I think the city would be mentioned for often for expansion/relocation, but sadly that isnt the case

I really wish they would offer that, I would "watch" a lot more games each year

High pressure doesn't just define an offense. The defense pinched a bunch trying to hold lines and force turnovers in the neutral zone. Do you even understand what a system is yourself? You seem so baffled by the idea that defense also applies pressure at the line to pinch and hold pucks in for their forwards. The same applies in all zones. Pressuring the puck carrier to force turnovers and hope they make mistakes. That was the problem. They should have done a better job at playing the lanes and not trying to force the turn overs. Poor positioning was a massive problem and it cost them a lot of goals.

A defensive system is more complicated then you make it out to be. You have multiple situations in all zones and it's not just set one way but also being able to transition from offense to defense or vice versa. The transition showed a ton of weaknesses and changes were made. The forwards play a big part in a defensive system too and how many young inexperienced kids did we have up front? How many man games compared to other teams were played by first year players? Three years or less

I'm starting to think you wouldn't know a defensive system if it hit you in the face. A big part of it is in your forwards ability to position themselves in the offensive zone to keep the puck to the outside on opposing teams break out. If you saw the amount of odd man rushes it was pretty clear how out of position players were for both forwards and defense. You can't force a player and miss or you could give up an odd man rush.

So now that I've tried to elaborate, please enlighten me oh wise one instead of being such a condescending wienerk!

- WhatTheNuck

you STILL have yet to show that there is an existing system. Show the system then! THAT is the topic. Instead you sidestep constantly to get around it, talking in circles.
No its yourself that wouldnt know a defensive system, thats how you miss there isnt one here yet in the past 2 seasons.
I have pointed out in detail in the past all about systems, go back and read those.

Dude you are entirely allowed to believe whatever nonsense you want. Why you insist on trying to force it on me is puzzling. Other posters have pointed out your errors too. It's clear you for some reason dont want it to be correct.

but since you still refuse to actually establish anything info wise about an existing system (because you cant) its time for you to just shut up then.
