Talk started again about Fowler for Girgensons I found out, IMO Fowler for Girgensons straight up is a fair deal but I heard another piece or 2 might have to go also.

Is Cam Folwer what we really need ?that's the question. IMO, we need a step up from him but what do I know.

Every team could use that great defenseman, it's what's available and at what price is the issue. I like Fowler, always have, and I'd be absolutely thrilled to get him for Girgensons straight up. If we got him for Girgs and a prospect or pick outside of Bailey, Nylander, Carrier, Fasching I'd be all for it. Fasching and Carrier I could still do but wouldn't be as happy about.

Of course, I'd rather have Lindholm or Shattinkirk but what do those guys cost? Like I keep saying the defense was okay last year. If we get better pieces it'll be better than okay. I don't expect us to be a shut down team but I don't think at this point we need that. I'd go heavy on defense in the next draft or trade future pieces to get a good defenseman, though.

I like that he said he really wanted 82 games this season...a good goal to go for, most kids his age would have been going for points or goals most likely. Shows maturity.

I put TP in the top 5 for sure, very possibly #1. I think 10 years from now that will be the consensus. The learning curve is just about finished, from new owner of new club, to seasoned owner of very well known club.
