Based on what 89 said, maybe Fowler is on Murray's radar first. Not sure on Nash although I wouldn't have a problem with it. I think once Vesey signs Murray could pull the trigger on Fowler.

When I found out last night that the Fowler talk was on again, was told Murray would have given a 2nd for Vesey's rights instead of a 3rd, still knowing he's waiting until the 15th.

Could he trade a 2nd or did it have to be a 3rd ? i'm not good with picks

I heard Bylsma likes to look at his forwards in pairs, understand he did that in Pittsburgh. So when he looks at pairs, he'll just fill in the other position with a player to form his lines.

Agreed on your point if we do get Vesey we won't need Hudler.

Using your idea of getting a d man for 3 per, not sure there are many ufa's left for that kind of money. I wouldn't mind Seidenberg but you could probably get him on a 1 year 2m deal, something like that. If we get Fowler I doubt we target another dman.

Everyone be careful. I may start comparing mediocre defencemen to how many thermostats I can install in an hour.

Very astute observation. Vesey with eichel/Sam, Ennis with look/O'Reilly, Bailey with girgs and Kane. Means I have nothing for Moulsen or delo as 4th line is gionta, Larsson and foligno

Why would he have traded a 2nd when he got his rights for a 3rd. My source (player not front office) stil thinks vesey comes to Buffalo. Though things certainly can change when vesey gets to talk to teams. Source does not think he'll go to Boston . Remember i said a couple of weeks ago that Sam and jack were moving into together (confirmed today) and have extra room for one more person (not confirmed today). Btw, Kane probably stays even if we get Vesey. I haven't heard any talk about Fowler, though hopefully Homer is right. Not surprising as players are often not in the know.
