And 39 has been saying weird things like chychrun was the pick, which I knew all along wasn't. He broke the tallinder trade I think and maybe the Kane one but has been erratic since. Btw, the trade for that Fla dman came out of nowhere - I never knew about it. Hope Fowler comes to fruition too - makes sense but I have no source on that

I think they'll progress quite a bit. My issue is still defence. Its an un popular opinion but I dont think the defence is actually better. The only move they made was swapping Pysyk for Kulikov which i honestly think is a lateral move. Kulikov is tougher but plenty of holes in his game too and if he's playing top pair minutes....yikes.

I don't discount your source, but I really believed he was going to wait until the 15th regardless. I don't think it means anything as to where he's going to sign. He knows he's already starting out behind the 8-ball by saying no to the Preds and that he was waiting until the 15th, then the trade to Buffalo and he reiterated the fact he was going to wait, so he's smart enough to stick and be a man of his word.

I know people have differing opinions on whether that's "right" or not, but it is what it is. Rob Ray was on GR last week and said if he was going to sign here he should've done it by now, or guys in the room will be annoyed, but you know what cures that? Playing well. And 8 months from now nobody will even remember if he's playing on the 2nd line and contributing on a nightly basis.

He's crap taking up a roster spot, they should have let him go when he opted out a few years ago. For the most part he's been honest and had no issue with switching to 3rd base but his time has come and makes no sense to keep him.

I wish I could remember who it was. It was at that point I started to soften on my stance that if he was coming here he would have already signed.

I won't lie, I'm really looking forward to the week of the 15th. I think it may be a mini-July 1st week. A lot of teams are waiting on this decision.

Yeah, you don't need an MRI for a torn ligament. A simple physical test will tell you whether the ligament is working or not.

But the 2nd MRI isn't necessarily a big deal. He could've moved at just the wrong time and they didn't get a clear picture of something they wanted to look at.

MRIs are great, but they're not perfect. True story: one of the countless MRIs I've had on my knee showed a foreign body that measured 1.5cm x 4cm x 1 cm that was sitting roughly inline with my ACL. OK, the doctor wanted a thin-slice CT scan because it shows better resolution. Had my CT scan a week later and there was nothing there. Technology is great, but it has its limitations. It's not magic.
