I like that he said he really wanted 82 games this season...a good goal to go for, most kids his age would have been going for points or goals most likely. Shows maturity.

Talk started again about Fowler for Girgensons I found out, IMO Fowler for Girgensons straight up is a fair deal but I heard another piece or 2 might have to go also.

Is Cam Folwer what we really need ?that's the question. IMO, we need a step up from him but what do I know.

we need a defensive defenseman.. unless they plan to move some of these offensive (in style and quality) defenseman

You don't get Fowler because he's a top pair, you do it because other than Risto there simply isn't much of any fire power on the back end. Fowler is what we don't have.

for me we have too many O dmen. just none of them are any good.. we need at least one more stay at home guy.. we can't populate our 4-8 dmen with the likes of fowler, franson, nelson and bago..

Franson isn't good and should be 7th D this year, but I guess you could say he's an offensive defenseman. Gorges is stay at home to the max. Bogo and Kulikov I see as more D zone vs O zone guys as well. Risto is just a good defenseman, but I don't see him as a PP QB. Is there any D we have outside of Risto that could really run a power play?

Edit: I have Nelson in the AHL, I don't think he's an NHL PP QB yet and seemed to struggle in his own end. Needs seasoning.

no we don't have anyone outside of Risto.. but we seem to be stockpiling these crappy d.. i am fine with fowler but i feel like we then need to purge out franson, bago, and/or nelson for an upgrade on the D side.

Kulikov i believe is a more stay at home guy but i am not so sure about bago.

I saw Conacher got banned... Seems like a bit of a Marshawn Lynch mob going on...

Great article on Jack. Seems very humble and grateful for being in the NHL. Interesting to note that he's now 205 lbs. I wonder if Reinhart comes in around 195 this year?
