There's an argument that Barkov could be considered the best centre of his draft class. But even then, very good arguments could be made for both Monahan and Mackinnon.
Best in the NHL? C'mon man, you had to use one of Crosby's worst years as a pro (slow start (frank)ed him) and Barkov still doesn't come close |

I think Monahan and McKinnion are good but they are usually healthy. Barkov is usually injured and in the time he plays he is a threat. |

I like Barkov. He's very, very good and is going to be elite.
He's not the best C in the NHL though. Not by a long shot. |

Barkov has shut down most of the best in the NHL. For some reason in the postseason his line wasn't matched up aganist Tavares. If he had been aganist Tavares perhaps the series would've ended differently. |
