To be clear were discussing an article that claims brown/sosh/hyman will be on the team. Yet this roster only includes brown. And doesn't account for greening or holland. Or even Leivo. Plus we have 8 defenseman. I'm just trying to have a realistic view and opinion. You don't have to agree. But you don't have to be a Richard about it either.

What article? Are you talking about mikes blog? There's no guarantee that Sosh and Hyman will be on the team any more than Marner. If he out plays those guys he'll make it and they'll be sent down. My lineup is assuming brown out plays Hyman Sosh and some vets. Either way all those guys are waiver exempt and sending any or all of them to the A hurts a lot less than sending Marner to the O. Marner will get his 9 games. And if he doesn't sh (a)t the bed he'll stick.

Marner makes the team as long as Martin is on the opposite wing. Once Martin is hurt Marner will lose the fairy god father. Martin will open up lanes for kadri Marner Martin line. Don't bury Martin on 4 th line duties.

I agree with most of what you have said, except for trading JVR. If another team puts up an irresistible offer and is willing to trade a younger winger and or D with huge potential but the team needs to win now, you have to consider it. The expansion draft opens up a lot of possibilities as well where teams may give up more than what is normally considered reasonable. Otherwise I don't see him moving. Great contract for two more seasons, may re-sign for a discount if he likes the progress and development of the team. He's highly skilled, Babs will teach him to drive the net, use his size more and work on his two way game a bit. He can be a great teacher AND will thrive with highly skilled youngsters around him. Unless another team makes some ridiculous salary offers and/or there is conflict with coaching and management, he really has no reason to be traded or go UFA.

Thanks man. In my post I had meant to say michalek and jvr would play together. Until michalek was traded. I don't think jvr should be moved. Was just pointing out that top line winger spot may not be available for Marner if we want to showcase Marner.

Why, with all these pretend line ups, does everyone want to put Kadri and Komarov together? Kadri is going to be 1st line center, to start at least. Why would you saddle him with a 3rd line winger? Komarov is a plug, a 3rd liner who suddenly landed on the 1st line. He had limited success, now he can drop back to the 3rd line and let the kids play. You guys give him way more credit than he deserves. He will be gone at the trade deadline.

They played well together last year. But who knows. I can't wait for training camp. So we can at least argue about stuff that is actually happening. Instead of what might or might not maybe happen.
