Ever been to Charleston, SC? If so, how would you compare the two? I love Charleston and figure I'd love Savannah, just never been yet.

Good luck....as a resident of a tourist trap town built around a beach, I can speak for here and say that finding anything else worthy of doing is near impossible. If you don't enjoy the beach and/or golf here, you're pretty much screwed.

For tourists around here it may be fine, there are some places to go to kill a few hours at a time, but as a "local"....this place is boring - so I'm guessing Hilton Head is similar.

I'd recommend maybe looking into a day-trip to Savannah (I've never been there, but picture it like Charleston, SC which I love for it being so old)

Savannah is really nice... Great architecture and a cool "riverwalk" from what I remember.. Last time I was there was 1998 so I'm sure there have been some changes.

Can't wait until Vesey does something. Anything. Even if he signs with Boston the first second it'll at least give us something to female dog about.

While all 30 teams would love to sign Vesey only a few look like realistic possibilities. For the most part they are teams we all expected like Chicago (perennial Cup contender), Boston (playing at home is attractive), Toronto (his dad works for the organization) and the New York Rangers (they're always in on everyone). Then there is the New Jersey Devils, who are (surprisingly) reportedly on Vesey's short list.

He may not sign here, but seriously to include new jersey but not us on the reported short list...

If you're looking for a day trip, Beaufort is a cool little town worth a visit or you could get to Savannah pretty easily.
