Is he a "3rd line player"
Or is he a "#16 overall pick"
Depends how u look at him...
I think he could fit into our top9, but I don't see him ever surpassing 15goals without getting PP time & top line icetime like he did for us 2 years ago
Good defensive player maybe
But I'd rather slot in guys like Bailey & Nylander, Kane & Ennis, Okposo and...... Vesey? Carrier? Fasching? Hudler? Pirri? Etc, etc, etc
Larsson seems like he can do what Girgensons does, and at a hell of a lot less then 3.85 freaking million
Girgs will NEVER be a 20goal scorer here... EVER
I've been saying this from day one
Try & get his stats up and trade him
To more specifically answer your question though...
I want us to have 3 scoring lines, so I'd expect more product ion from those 3rd liners than Girgs will likely ever give us
Something like Kane-Reinhart-Ennis as an eventual 3rd line
Not a 3rd line checking unit
I think the O'Reilly line can be like our Drury line from back in the day - jdfitz77

After last year, he might not even deserve HALF that
I'm thinking a 1yr "prove it" type deal for around 1.5-1.75 is fair
If he scores, then he gets His salary bump he's looking for
I'd rather just trade him though
Asking for close to 4mil is a joke - jdfitz77
Agreed. $1.8 is about as high as I hope we go with Girgs. The other option is to let him sit it out and/or go to the KHL. We still own his rights and he can come crawling back in 1 or 2 years with his tail between his legs.

It's hard to gauge what the Sabres will want to do with Girgs. Do they want him? At what price? We keep hearing of these rumors all summer about Girgs for Fowler. Frankly, I don't know what Murray wants to do with him. |

Hey smart folk, is there any way to take this to arbitration with Girgs? I would imagine he wouldn't get anywhere near 4 million from an unbiased party. Could this be a way to solve or does this further the problem because it would only be for a year or two? |

Interesting.
1. I would do but not sure Vancouver would bite. I would offer Kane and a 3rd for Virtanen and 2nd.
2. Yes but not sold he comes here. Sure hope I'm wrong.
3. Too much. I would do only Girgs and a 2nd for Fowler, nothing more. Fowler pushes McCabe down the depth chart. Not sure we need to go that route. Plus Fowler becomes a UFA in 2 years. We need to get another dman for depth and I say sign Seidenberg for 1 year or give Guhle an opportunity.
4. Yes to either but Hudler would fit in nice. |

I have a plumbing issue I could use some advice on. Earlier I went down to the basement to put some laundry in the washer, and there was a little water and some dirt in the sink my washer drains into. I poked around the drain with a coat hanger and it started going down slowly, and I didn't think much of it. Just now I went to put my clothes in the dryer and the sink was half full with water, with dirt and what I think are earthworms (alive). I'm not sure what to do. Lol |

My first thought is maybe there's a break in the pipes, would that mean all of my water is contaminated? Or just the basement? |

I don't think Kane has the kind of trade value that would make it worth it for us to ship him out...
Not until the deadline maybe
Vesey is still a big ?
We'll have to wait a bit longer to see what happens
That Girgs trade probably does it, but idk if it's a good idea for this season. It creates an issue with who we protect in the expansion draft next year.
Bringing in another defenseman we have to protect will cause us to protect 4 (Bogosian, Risto, & McCabe) and thus only let us protect 4 forwards
It's not the end of the world of someone like Larsson were to get snatched...
But wouldn't it be better to force them to pick between guys like Gorges & Moulson & Deslauriers?
Probably makes more sense to trade for another defenseman after the expansion draft...
Signing a Hudler or Pirri could be a good idea,
Both decent players. Do we have room for them though?
I think as is, we compete for the playoffs
Whether or not we make it will depend on goaltending IMO

That is definitely a break. Did you have anyone do digging in or around the yard recently?

Not positive as I'm not a plumber, but:
I had a tree fall next to the house and the incoming pipe was cracked when the roots pulled out. From this soil was getting in everywhere. Either way, the plumber suggested not to drink any of the water and to use bottled until fixed. The issue is bacteria can spread in water more easily I assume. |

"We don't really have very many power forwards in the game anymore. It's a rare commodity. But Kyle fits into that role. He's big (6-foot, 217-pounds), powerful and strong and he skates well."--Dan Bylsma - Michael Pachla

Are there big trees in your neighborhood?
Sometimes in older houses, sewer lines can collapse. It's big $$ to get fixed. I lived in Sloan and the line collapsed and they had to dig up part of the basement. Was like $4K. |

Could be from the house to the street. Sounds like you need to get snaked out and in the worst kind of way. Call your landlord.
My house had to get it done and it was cause I had tenants flush things that shouldn't have been flushed. |

Your main water line out of the house is probably blocked. Tree roots I would guess.
This happened to me when I first moved into my house. Had to have the front yard dug up to replace the old pipe with the new PVC pipes.
