I remember so much hype around him when he was coming into the league.
But Yan...has to be the biggest putz ever. Dads a Hall of Famer, Brother is arguably a 1st line player, solid NHLer, Olympian , uncles are close to ppg NHL players in their career.

It's amazing what a good 25 games can do for a prospects overall ranking.
McDavid is going to be great that's for sure but to say right now that he's better than several established nhl players is ridiculous.
What if McDavid goes 15 games without a goal like a lot of sophomores?
What if for a 3rd year in a row he has another major injury?
McDavid has yet to play a full nhl season and because of that cannot be considered one of the top players. He could move up into that and probably has the best chance of doing so of all players but he isn't a top 20 nhl player yet.

hey guys,
just wanted to share something....... haven't been checking the blog as much... might not for next little while. .... unfortunately I lost a few people close to me this summer.
Certainly want to say that if you have, to death or just someone missing in your life, I offer you my respects.
I know there's a group of people on this thread that like to have a go at me from time to time but when it's in good fun, I'm cool with it - - I look forward to talking Oilers on here. Hopefully a good year ahead for the Oilers + Sens.... and everyone here on and off the ice. |
