In the end the Sabres can pay him the most money in 2 years after his ELC is up. Some really think Eichel is the main reason he comes here but it's not, it's one of them but not the main one. - SABRES 89
Sabres would be willing to pay him more I would say, but this premise makes sense. Jack is big to him because of the comfort thing and I agree it's one of a few reasons Buffalo should be his most attractive option which also includes: young team, top 6 minutes, pp minutes, place to live (with Jack and Sam), small city environment without as much pressure, lower cost of living, 50 min flight to Boston ........he knows this

the 10 games where Taylor, Sammy Watkins and LeSean McCoy were all on the field the Bills became the fourth highest scoring offense in the league. - homiedclown
Too lazy to look it up, but what was our record in those games?

With Roy out does this affect Grigo's stay in Colorado at all? Kid got 6-21-27 last year in 74 games. Not sure how long his contract is for but I wonder when it's over what they do with him if he goes to about 30-35 points next year - Zschalberg
dont see him going anywhere, grigo says he loves to be in Denver. Assistant coach tim army is who Grigo credits for his development since he would always work with Grigo after practice, etc.
Grigo stays if the Avs have anything to say about it,

#1-Having a young team with unproven talent is not always an attraction (see Edmonton)
#2-I would say coming to Buffalo he would have alot more pressure than a place like NYC or even Chicago
#3- A place to live? its a non factor
#4-I doubt he cares about the cost of living. He will be fine financially

One of his most important criteria listed is how the franchise treats players on their second and thrid contracts. He cares about finanical issues. And TPegs can back up the brinks truck.

I agree with 1 and 3
The other two not a chance. Going to a team like Chicago they expect to win the Cup. The Rangers are holding on to their last chance to win a cup in the next 2 seasons. That's their window. There's a lot more pressure there.
In regards to cost of living maybe not a young kid but the older players absolutely look at the cost of living. There is a reason why Buffalo has a ton of retired players and coaches residing in Buffalo. Cheaper taxes than Canada and the cost of living is almost nothing.

Did he say that?
Also every owner in the league can "back up a brinks truck" you dont think that we may have some cap issues in a few years too? when all our young guys need to get paid?

Really?
Then how come every team doesn't spend to the cap limit?

Disagree. Hes not going to be under a microscope in Chicago or NY. Buffalo is all about hockey and will count on Vesey to perform if he comes here. When he goes to Chicago he will simply be a complimentary player.
The retired players and coaches that are here were either goons or players that never made much money in the league. This is a different era. If vesey is pans out to anywhere near the hype, he will have no issues with money and will certainly not be forced to retire here because he cant afford to live elsewhere

Correct. The media and the people are much easier to deal with in Buffalo. It got so bad with Hayes in Boston last year that be couldn't go out to dinner. Buffalonians, and believe it or not, are very respectful. They'll say hi but will give you your space.

1. Well, I don't know if he said it to his agent, but his agent said it to the press.
“We’ve looked at depth charts with some teams and talked about them,” Fish told Harris. “There’s obviously a lot of thought that goes into it: the city, the coach, the GM, the salary structure, how a team treats their players in the second and third contracts down the road.”

Holy S! Get it effin crankin baby! I believe in Willie Beamen!
The 1st Pats and KC losses are solely on the Defense. Only loss you can really pin on Beamen would be the 2nd Pats and maybe the Eagles. Either way, if the D shows up, they're 7-3 and the Oh fence is electric! This is why they've been waiting to announce Vesey!
