Which goes first in a Booze Draft, hard cider or margaritas? Of course, by first I do not mean first overall...that would be f'ing silly...but I've had both in the last 2 days and can't decide.

This is like asking "what's the best bait?" You can't answer the question posed like this as an absolute. Different boozes serve different purposes.

Trying to lay your burdens down? Brown liquor on big cubes w a dash of bitters. (I prefer Red Breast Irish Whiskey or El Dorado Aged Rum.)

Trying to cool off on a wicked hot night? Beefeaters w tonic on crushed ice, wedge of lime (or better, cucumber)

Just something to sustain you through the weekend chores - "Swill Beer"? Genny Red Eye (the Oktoberfest is pretty good too) [I also swill Labatts Blue].

Rubbing elbows w a client or investor? Brooklyn Ale or whatever he's drinking.

They have talked with the Sabres twice and he know's where they stand and he stands with them so to my knowledge they won't talk again.

I don't know. How can the Hawks possibly assure him they'll ink him to contracts 2 and 3. Those are the contracts that make the real $ for hockey guys, and Chicago has other commitments that prevent them from saying anything to Vesey with a straight face. Granted, if he earns top 6 time with them his numbers could go through the roof and warrant major $ with other teams, but then he's just serving another apprenticeship before he begins his career for real.

If there were 5 teams he had an interest in but this team (Chicago) is first on my list to talk to it could also be my #1 choice.

Think of it another way. If you had a executive search recruiter tell you I have 5 potential companies you could get interviews with and you might say I don't care for these 3 but this one company I would really love to work for, set it up.

Don't UFA's typically on July 1st go to a team they have their eyes on, get an offer from said team and boom, deal done?

That hurts Chicago IMO bc they've traded guys like Shaw & Saad recently and have been doing so for years all the way back to Byfuglien & Ladd...

I really hope this Vesey thing gets done on Monday. Murray can then get back to his business, sign Risto and Girgs, sign another d man and maybe a trade. Finish off the roster.

Now UFAs have that week where they can talk to multiple teams before actually signing on the 1st
This was probably done before through back channels,
So they finally just changed the rule recently to allow what most assumed was already happening anyways
