Seriously, why would he sign with the Rangers, they are a declining team? He would become one of the youngest guys on the roster with aging players losing production year after year. The barn is empty, and Lunquist's ship has sailed, he'll never take the Rangers back to a cup final. There're are a half dozen teams better suited foe Vesey with a half dozen reasons why he should sign with them.

According to sources, the Boston Bruins have slipped out of Jimmy Vesey's top three choices.
Vesey will likely still speak to the Bruins when he hits unrestricted free agency on August 15, but he doesn't appear to be leaning towards signing there. One of those two sources said the Chicago Blackhawks, the New York Rangers and the New Jersey Devils were the favorites now, which is surprising considering the Bruins, Buffalo Sabres and Toronto Maple Leafs were considered to be the frontrunners previously. A great deal could still change after he is permitted to begin meeting with other teams this weekend.
