I'm aware of that but Vessy is also the best college prospect and the other two were guys that were deemed expendable by their teams.

Both instances are risks but the Canucks moved better picks for players who although guaranteed to be able to play were not seen as top flight prospects or at least how I view it and why I was asking how you compared players.

Baertchi has higher pedigree than Vessey so they are comparable from a player stand point. One was a trade for a UFA and one was a trade for an RFA. It was a sh!t trade and it's a sh!t comparable

I am not sold on the Vesey trade largely because I can't imagine a player would choose Buffalo when he can choose any team in the league to play for That being said, it's not the worst gamble, my original point was this fanbase would have a meltdown if we traded a 3rd and didn't sign the player.

Vessey signing with the Leafs to play with Mathews sounds like Justin Shultz 2.0 . I wonder how that turned out?

I didn't see that ranking tsn had him 8 with Connor ahead of him as the only other college player. White was 19 and Boeser 20.
