I have a feeling lots of Canucks fans forget the fact that Sutter really didnt play for us last year. And when he did, had a very good 2 way game imho. Its not like he would have made us a contender or anything, But he would have given this team a much better chance at winning day in and day out.
He was a huge loss.
If he can stay healthy the Nucks will be competitive. Of course that depends on everyone elses health as well.
And I'll say this once again. The Nucks needed Dmen, Its been reported Mccan was a bit of a (frank)ing whiner, And Guds is experienced and tough. While he may not have the scoring touch, He's proven. I'll do that trade again and again. - vancity787
And great in the room. Well liked by his teammates. Whoever posted Willie Mitchell 2.0 is right. However, I do believe in McCann's abilities. He showed some promise last year. He's still a kid. Nucks needed Gud tho.
I can see the Canucks as a bubble team. Things have to go our way tho. Injury wise. Let's not forget Bo could improve offensively as well.
My overall prediction is they will push for a Wild card. The highlight of the season may be Brock signing late in the year (assuming UND doesn't run the table again) and getting a few games in (less than 9), teasing us for 2017. Or perhaps he plays some playoff games? |

Remember JB moved fast on this deal, didn't want more competition. Look at the EDM trade. That is all. |

yup. imo most of us were probably sad to see McCann go, but understood the trade. The trade looked even better after chiapets Hall fiasco.
Still think EDM will be fine (Pujujaaarjjjvi and McJesus). They are getting a young solid Dman. Just deserved more. |

I wouldn't bet my home either way. Far too many variables. They could compete or become a total poop show. - golfingsince

Seems pretty damn good to me. Just wanna see some picks acquired come this TDL for a change.
In other news, I'm catching up here. Just got back from Seattle. GNR was amazing!!!!! Blown away. Figured it would be good. But it was awesome. Alice
N Chains opening as well rocked it. - storm88
U may get your wish if the season is a disaster.
Its possible but if injuries r not a huge factor as they were last year i fear we can compete & the TDL will have come n gone. That said we r prolly a bubble team in the 15-20th overall range is my prediction. |

100% correct. It's media idiots primarily in the East driving the narrative he doesn't know what's what.they don't consider is aquaman pushing him to go to the playoffs. |

You sir, clearly have little to no understanding of the semantics of the English language. The nuances just seem to drift gently over your skull, missing that part of your brain responsible for rational thinking.
Let me explain it for you in a manner that is simple enough for you to understand.
By "most people arn't local" he means that the majority of people living in various parts of the city are not residing in what could be called there ancestral homes. I live close to the home I grew up in therefore I am"local" my neighbour moved here from India 20 years ago and is very nice. He is still not a local to me.
Anyways for you to have sent me a pm calling me a bigot is in very poor taste and prejudicial.
I don't know how you can be so intolerant of people's opinions and beliefs. Most poor drivers serious where I live are from cities (we call them cidiot's) or have Alberta plates. Neither of those demographics would be considered local.
So just stop before you end up sounding like an idiot.
Respectfully please stfu - Pres.cup
Justify code speak how every you want. A guy lives next to you in the same neighborhood and community 20 yrs and still isn't a local in your mind, says as much about you as I need to know.
You and golfing make arguments from the same line of thought... |

100% agree
wish we'd known ahead of time his idea of rolling 4 lines meant 1-2-3-4-1-2-3-4 etc - SMBDragon
Exactly what Craig Simpson called him out for. Saying the coach actually has to coach. Hartley had the home ice advantage against him every game. |

It's not bigoted, it's factual. A very large portion of people driving around the lower mainland didn't learn to drive there.
Around 35% of school children in Vancouver's primary language is english, which doesn't even account for most of the transplants from the rest of the country.
Are you done being a donkey yet? - golfingsince
Keep using the word local in quotes. I hope you make air quotes when you actually talk to people. Let them know what you really think about people who don't learn to drive here. |

that was craig simpson? I just remember the broadcast ....and yes hartley had the advantage every game. Picked WD apart.
not so sure a coach of 28 years of whatever it is and still not knowing this info is capable of learning all thats needed to win in the nhl in any short time. But he's here, so lets pray he can. Certainly prefer it works out that way.
It's possible too that management gave him orders to f*ck it up last year. Lets hope. |

I had no idea I could throw someone so far till somewhat bowled over my daughter. Luckily she was completely fine and enjoyed the rest of the show.
