I also don't see them gifting him a spot in the lineup just because he throws big hits. It's not like that got us that many more goals than the year before did it? If he shows he can handle being the 3RW then you're set and the 4th line can be any combination of Granlund/Dorsett/Gaunce/Burrows/whatever call-up you want from Utica.

I agree but I also think that those mentioned, including Rodin, will be given every opportunity. Can't fit them all. Makes for an exciting training camp.

Rodin isn't fully recovered yet. He is still a long shot . Jake has been training hard with the twins .

If Burrows does make the team it will be because he is back in form not because JV is struggling. This team will compete. The kids will grow .

A decent 3/4 guy like Gudbranson when he gets 200 games under his belt. Physical, tough, decent skater, great stick in the passing lanes.

Keep JV for the 13 8 2. Unless he reports to camp out of shape from partying, then send his ass down. Otherwise keep him. Burrows JV and Etem can be in and out.

looking at the lineup JB has done a good job adding size to our D. Biega in Utica unless training camp shows otherwise.

I am not sure if Rodin is ready to slot into the wing on the 2nd line, and as Vantel stated, he may not be ready if he is still injured or recovering. (I'm not sure who fits)
JB said he sees Sven on the 3rd line.
Etem hasn't shown he deserves the opportunity, game isn't consistent enough.
Burrows, if he turned back time, might work, but if he is the same as last season, he is barely in the lineup.
JV hasn't earned it/likely not ready.

In 5 or 6 years Chara is going to wish that he could be Tryamkin, in all things except the trophy vault and bank accout tryamkin will be Superior.



















By this I mean he(chara) will be out of the game and feeling the pain of life after hockey, while tryamkin will be a solid 4/6 on a contending team.
