I am not sure if Rodin is ready to slot into the wing on the 2nd line, and as Vantel stated, he may not be ready if he is still injured or recovering. (I'm not sure who fits)
JB said he sees Sven on the 3rd line.
Etem hasn't shown he deserves the opportunity, game isn't consistent enough.
Burrows, if he turned back time, might work, but if he is the same as last season, he is barely in the lineup.
JV hasn't earned it/likely not ready.

Sven today is a third line forward and improving.

Burrows Hansen Sutter can all score between 15-20 and be an effective shut down line.

We had a lot go wrong last year.

Top line center played half the year injured

Second line center missed 62 games

Edler missed 30 games.

Bo Sven JV and Etem all only had 2 goals apiece in their first 20-30 games.

Weber went from 11 goals to 0

Higgins Prust were sent down.

Bartowski sucked

Vrbata went from 31 to 12.

All of those things combined plus the fact that Benning never made moves to fix it, led to 28 th spot.

Chances of that happening again this year, slim to none.

In 5 or 6 years Chara is going to wish that he could be Tryamkin, in all things except the trophy vault and bank accout tryamkin will be Superior.




By this I mean he(chara) will be out of the game and feeling the pain of life after hockey, while tryamkin will be a solid 4/6 on a contending team.
Don't know what team that will be but we'll see.

It's not bigoted, it's factual. A very large portion of people driving around the lower mainland didn't learn to drive there.

Around 35% of school children in Vancouver's primary language is english, which doesn't even account for most of the transplants from the rest of the country.

The thing is you can't really look at the everything went wrong arguement as reason as every year different players will be injured and different players will increase and decrease point totals ...at the age they are at its more than likely that one of the sedins misses significant time ..they just take too much abuse to not have injuries.
Parts of your everything went wrong were actually good things for others too ...sutters injury have bo much more opportunity and without it he probably ends up with maybe 30 points
All your defense injuries let you see some of what your young guys can do
Pretty much every NHL player has stretches where they don't score so Sven bo etc will probably have stretches this season too

I can look at it any way I want. You have been looking at it as everything going wrong. That absolutely won't happen.

I can promise you that
Weber and Bartowski won't have a horrible year for Canucks

I can promise Higgins and Prust won't be sent down to Utica
I can promise Vrbata won't drop from 31 goals to 12 while wearing a Canuck jersey.

I would be willing to bet that Bo Jake Sven and Etem score more than 9 goals combined after 30 games.

You can believe the sky is falling as much as you want but I don't believe it for one second
