Hedman is awfully close. He isn't as mean as Pronger by a long shot as Pronger was somewhat of a sadist. But the skills and physicality (to a point) are there. - MBFlyerfan
Hedman is close and yes Prongers grin after giving someone the business was a classic. |

The last guy in the NHL who came close to the skill/nastiness to his game like Pronger was Shea "Odin-son" Weber, and neither his skill or mean streak were on Pronger's level. Chara was up there, too, but he never "pulled a Zetterberg" on a guy, unless you ask a Montreal fan.
Fun fact: Despite having the ability to grow one, Chris Pronger never ever had a playoff beard, at least from his Edmonton days onward. |

I still believe they plan to do some sort of mystical soul swap to put Pronger's spirit into Morin |

Man. I thought physically imposing players weren't allowed to play that way.
(frank) the Gudas haters. I don't want a wussy team. |

Are you saying that a player can be skilled AND a physical force?

I'm a Gudas fan and like him as a player, but skilled is not an adjective I would use to describe him as a player. In their prime, I'd take both Grossmann and Schultz over Gudas. |

Part of the reason his numbers are so good is because he just launches shots from almost anywhere at almost any time. I am not saying it's a good or bad thing, but it certainly helps the SAT %'s |

Is it fair to suggest that the young defender is still trending upward in his development? Seeing how this was only his second full season (he played in parts of 4 seasons) in the NHL I think there may be some kinks he can work out through playing. |

I'd say trade will get that space before sending AMac down. Seeing as we should be talking Ivan made the team in that instance.
Maybe if Ivan and Sam make the team then AMac goes to Lehigh. But that means we had a crazy camp that I don't see happening. - dragonoffrost
I don't see AMac going down right away. We need him eligible for the expansion draft. |

I've but only glanced at the games played requirements for exposed players. Personally, I think he's gonna be the 6/7 guy this year. Manning will challenge him for ice time. I also think Morin is very close, but is more likely to be the first injury call-up than make the team out of camp.
Contrary to popular opinion, I also think Robert Hagg will have a much better season and compete with Morin for the first injury call up. I see both eventually playing games for the Flyers. Not sure what I'd rate the chances, but I could definitely see MDZ being moved at some point this year depending on his value and where the Flyers are in the standings. |

I see Streit and Schultz as the trade options. I think they want MDZ around for a few more years while the kids come through the system.
