Those were (frank)ing awful.
Edit: Quoting about the Bills in Toronto - markmark
If the goal was to take away everything fun and interesting about seeing a game at the Ralph, then Rogers succeeded. |

If they do land him, I'm glad it has to be the one year deal. (That's correct right? Then an extension would be the following summer?)
Reason being so that if and when he is very unspectacular, he just goes bye bye and it's in a year where I fully expect the Leafs to not improve by more than 5 spots in the standings. - markmark
Apparently Vesey's age makes him eligible for a 2 yr |

It's true.
You take away the tailgating, excessive to the point of dangerous drinking and the fights being broken up by security guards in day-glo jackets, and what do you have left?
Just a Bills game!
Yuck. |

Go yell at a cloud, old man.
Tailgaiting is more than drinking. It's meeting interesting people (and trainwrecks of humanity), playing touch football, and eating.
Football in weather, on grass, with fans that cheer for the home team. They have alcohol free sections so you can feel safe if you want too. |

Matt Gilroy and Kevin Porter alone have 106 points - BINGO!
I added up the list provided, there wasn't any points beside Gilroys name. |

Now, that comment about the Hobey Baker winners from the past amounting to nothing. That’s a bit harsh up until two years ago (2014) Johnny Gaudreau won the award. Last year it was Jack Eichel, and Vesey was a nominee. Seems to me, there has been a run off some success as of late with the award winners. Gaudreau is an absolute stud, likely the best forward on Calgary, and same goes for Eichel being the best player on Buffalo.
Hobey Baker winners that won at 22/23 like Vesey
Drew LeBlanc NHL Points 0
Jack Connolly NHL Points 0
Andy Miele NHL Points 2
Blake Geoffrion NHL Points 13
Matt Gilroy (6th defenseman for 3 seasons before being run out of the league!)
Kevin Porter NHL Points 58! Wow! All from the 4th line too!
Ryan Duncan NHL Points 0
Marty Sertich NHL Points 0
Junior Lessard NHL Points 4
Peter Sejna NHL Points 10
NOPE - AdamFrench
They usually give the award to seniors.
& people confuse the hobey baker as being the best player in the NCAA which isn't the case.
He's an average prospect at best |

I know you said you weren't bitter on Stamkos, but it certainly read that way. Haha.
He's a high-character guy. I give him a lot of credit for wanting to stay with the organization he came up with and helped put on the map.
Have to respect a guy that doesn't want to sign somewhere simply for money (don't get me wrong, he got big bucks from Tampa, but could have gotten more in TOR), or to become the face for a product and have his image stamped throughout the country in various advertisements.
Kind of refreshing to know there's still some guys out there who don't want the lime light and to be under the microscope.
I've heard he's a private guy and is happy he can go to a lot of places in Tampa and not be recognized. He'd be mobbed in Toronto, I bet. |

So if Nolan Vesey is busy struggling in Maine, and hardly a lock for an ELC next year, can someone please explain how this has a positive impact on Jimmy coming to Toronto? If anything Jimmy signing with Toronto pushes Nolan a little farther away from getting a pro contract offer.
So if I'm Nolan I'm telling my big brother to go find his own team.

I actually wasn't angry or offended at this part. It seems like good advice.

Which is why I had "tailgating" separate from "excessive to the point of dangerous drinking" - you didn't see the comma? Sheesh, you youngun's sure do miss a lot - you were probably reading this off your Ipie-pad while doodling with your Somesung phony madoodle.

Anyone want to take a stab at a line up WITH Vesey. Things get really messy with some one year vets and unwanted players, especially on the left side. And then, with the other info we have of who is going to play with whom, where certain players will play or want to play if acquired....it's really hard placing players in the right spots.
Left side:
JVR
Vesey
Martin
Greening
Lupul
Michalek
Leivo
Rychel
Leipsic
Center:
Kadri
Bozak
Matthews
Laich
Holland
Froese
Right:
Komarov
Brown
Hyman
Sosh
Lindberg
Kapenen
Those are all the guys that will be fighting for spots...maybe even a few more. - underhill14
Add MArner and Nylander and its gonna be one hell of an interesting camp. Even guys like the goat or Leipsic could have decent showings at camp. Go leafs |

Cause mine is 4g, has a keyboard and I'm at the cabin with no internet.
And the Textnow app lets me use it as a cell phone.
Plus I have no cell phone. |
