When we are firmly in a PO spot by this February all this in-fighting crap will go away…
- LordHumungous
Or... we'll be in 27th place and the in-fighting will go away because we'll be winning the lottery and taking the next Crosby/Tavares/Stamkos/McDavid/Matthews. And then we'll scream at each other because we won't agree on who's 1OA like Laine vs Matthews. |

In one of JB's interviews, he mentioned wanting to invite some ufa's to camp on pto's, I wonder if he is going to exhaust that approach before signing a guy like Hudler?
Adding a guy with scoring and grit would be great, but at the minimum we need scoring. |

So, CA talked about Yakupov yesterday, ryanbiech was asked the price,
"Rumour had it that Edmonton Oilers General Manager Pete Chiarelli was looking to snag a second round pick for Yakupov. So, basically, the same cost of a Sven Baertschi. "

I'd do a 2nd round pick for Yakupov, maybe the Oilers would be interested in Pedan? - hillbillydeluxe
I would make that trade happen, hell I would even do Pedan and the 2nd. I think he has the drive to be a really good player but needs a change of scenery as he appears frustrated with his situation in Edmonton. Even if hes only ends up a 3rd liner, he has some offensive instincts which could lead to the much needed depth scoring. |

Seriously??? - Marwood
yep.
Tanner's blog.
but maybe Vrbata does have some of those qualities if he is in a good situation.
I vaguely remember Horvat or someone else saying they were learning from Vrbata and he communicated well with his younger linemates. But then the hissy fit in the 2nd season happened and he turned into a jerk. |

I think he was being sarcastic about that, Tanner infamously slams intangibles as stupid |

As Don mentioned, Yaks is overpaid, (bad) Higgins like production with much less defense.
I'd still be okay if JB made that trade. maybe MG had it right, no Russians, makes life simpler... happy we got Tryamkin tho. |

I never read his stuff.
but I do believe you put people in the right situations and good things usually happen and who hasn't had their moments and looked back and wished they'd handled some situations differently?
so, after reading some of the comments on Tanner's blog, does he usually want to be taken seriously or is he usually just messing around? |

I wouldn't want to get involved in stupid non hockey related arguments on here, in fact it's why I've been staying away for the last little while, but maybe you shouldn't post 7 times in a row and complain about other peoples opinions. Just a thought. - NorthNuck
really?
so basically if i respond to different comments after several hours or a day away from the blog then you think that's an issue. what exactly is the number of responses in a row you would deem acceptable, in your opinion?
maybe we can make that a rule for the momerator to enforce.
Also, I guess you didn't notice the 20 posts in a row spilling over from one page to the next? |

"In Vancouver, Chris Higgens was throwing a party and everyone on the team is invited.
He asks everyone to bring drinks so they have enough alcohol to last them the night. Before going to the party, Jim Benning goes to the liquor store to pick up a case of beer. As he is walking to his car with a case of beer under his arm a fan notices him, stops him and asks, "Hey Jim, Whacha get the case of beer for?"
"I got it for Chris Higgens " answers Jim.
"Oh!" exclaims the fan,
"Good trade."
