I was with my current wife for 18 years and she never felt comfortable with my family when they introduced her as my partner. He biggest wish was to be called wife. I am happy calling her my wife now too.

Her taste in men is an all together different subject

Yes I agree....thats why I usually ignore crap. This was brought to me today.

I hear ya on the marriage point. I've often thought marriages should be updated to more current thinking that reflects our society, not society from 2000 years ago.

So how about A marriage is good for say, 5 years. After 5 years you have to renew the license (not the ceremony) or youre not considered married. This reduces divorce needs and the long demand on the courts. Argument can be made that it cheapens the sanctity of marriage of course. An idea to be contemplated however.
