Wasn't Moulson called out by his GM for not trying his best and not putting the work in to stay in shape? I feel like you're jumping to the conclusion that Ennis slacked when the only thing I saw was that he was going to try harder to be in better shape (unless I missed something which is always a good possibility). That doesn't mean that he wasn't in shape, it means he wants to be in even better shape and have even better conditioning. Of course you'd love to have 20 guys who are always 100% committed to being in peak condition and never waiver from that but I don't think that's realistic.

He got a wake-up call. Let's see what he does with it before we already plan the trade IMO.

For not caring, you seem to care quite a bit. I agree the Rags are almost through being perennial contenders but for the kid to not hear them out would be shortsighted. The city has 8 million people and not all of them are bumholes, close to his home, yadayada.

I really like the kid just because to me he's smart with what he's doing. Get all the information. Weigh all of your options. Then decide. Not before when you can only talk to 1 team.

Let's not give ourselves that much credit that he is the only thing between us and a good team. If Rex wasn't here and we had a different coach the team is still (frank)ed. I still wish we had gotten Schwartz but this team has bigger issues than just the coach.

He scored 11 points in 23 games in 15/16: annualized that's a 50 point season. He got injured on a hit from behind and he was never allowed back on the ice.
